Possible Story Details Surface For Channing Tatum’s GAMBIT Movie – “The Oceans 11 of the Comic Book Genre”

As you all know, Channing Tatum's Gambit movie has gone through some hard times. It's been in development hell for awhile, but according to Tatum, it's all been for the better of the development of the film. The movie is now said to be inspired more by what Deadpool and Logan have done.

I've been curious to know what direction they are going to take the story and now we might have an idea of what is being planned for the film. Splash Page claims to have details on a plot outline for the film, and they describe it as "the Oceans 11 of the comic book genre". They also say that the movie will include mutants such as Rictor, Fifolet, Dani Moonstar, Multiple Man, Marrow, and a "blue X-Men regular", which could be Mystique, Beast, or Nightcrawler. Here's the plot summary that report shared:

Remy Lebeau (Channing Tatum) is on trial in New-Orleans. He’s considered a huge security risk. We flashback to almost 25 years before. Master thief Luke Lebeau runs into eight-year-old Gambit while doing a heist. Impressed by his skills, he offers to take the mutant orphan under his wings. Raised alongside other strays he calls “cousins”, the teenage Gambit becomes the superstar of the Thief Guild. He encounters Bella Donna Boudreaux while on the run from the police. Sparks immediately fly since Bella is also a fellow mutant. Their love is directly prohibited by both families since the Boudreaux are sworn enemies of the Lebeau clan. Deciding to unite the two sides, Remy offers to have the two clans team up on a HUGE heist to profit both families. Of course, the whole plan goes awry, and in the chaos, Maryanne Boudreaux shoots and kill Luke Lebeau.

We jump to 10 years later; Gambit is hired to do a job in Paris to steal something from the Louvre Museum. It was apparently a test job to see if he still has it. His mysterious employer is revealed to be Nathaniel Essex a.k.a. Mr. Sinister. He offers Gambit 40 million to recover a mysterious trunk that was stolen by the Boudreaux clan. It will be auctioned off during the yearly Thieves Ball where all the criminal organizations in the world meet up. It uses New Orleans’ Mardi Gras celebrations as a cover. Gambit decides to enlist a crew of mutants to pull off this seemingly impossible heist…

That sounds like it could be fun! I would love to see a Gambit heist film! This info is in line with a comment that producer Simon Kinberg made about the film a couple years ago. He described it as a sexy heist film saying:

“I mean Deadpool obviously has a very different, almost antithetical tone to the mainline X-Men movies. The X-Men movies are dramatic and almost operatic, whereas Deadpool is irreverent and hysterical and sort of a dirty R-rated comedy in many ways. And Gambit will have its own different flavor and tone to it, will be more of like a heist movie and a sexy thriller in a way.”

It's also said the film will make reference to the films X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse. If that's true, ti will be interesting to see how exactly they fit Gambit in with the current X-Men movie universe.

I hope these plot details are legit because it sounds like a Gambit movie I'd want to see! Obviously, we need to treat it as a rumor for now and even if it is true, things could easily change between now and the time the film goes into development. What do you think about the possible direction that the film could go?

WALKING DEAD Actor Describes Season 8 as a Schwarzenegger Vs. Stallone Film

The Walking Dead is about to get a lot more action-packed in its eighth season, that's according to series regular Seth Gilliam who is comparing the upcoming season to "a Schwarzenegger versus Stallone action thing from the ’80s." Gilliam:

"I think there are, like, 10 explosions an episode. Every time you turn around, somebody’s shooting something or blowing something up. There’s some serious action that I don’t think we’ve seen on television since The A-Team went off the air.”

The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman says the coming season will be "a more fast-paced season, a more action-packed season" focusing on momentum and seven seasons worth of payoffs. Dwight actor Austin Amelio told Entertainment Weekly:

“It’s a f—king in-your-face action-packed IV of adrenaline. Season 7 was the ramp-up and now this is the blastoff. The stuff that’s happening is insane!”

For most Walking Dead fans Season 7 was one of the most disappointing of the hit zombie drama.  Now that Rick, Maggie, Ezekiel and their respective communities have teamed up to make their first strike against their Negan's clan, The Walking Dead will most likely see the show become what it used to be.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 22.

Ron Howard has shared a couple new photos from the set Lucasfilm's untitled Han Solo film. Each of the dusty and hazy photos come with the caption: "Shooting a scene about desperate and dangerous times in the Galaxy."

Fans are speculating about all kinds of things that they say they are seeing in the photos. One fan says that they see Boba Fett, other claims that there are AT-AT parts and Stormtroopers. There's also talk that the scene Howard is shooting here takes place on the planet of Kessel, which the director teased last week, so there's a good chance that might actually be the case. Another image shows an explosion in the distance.

You can look at the photos below. Look 'em over and see if you can spot anything cool or interesting!

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Maze Runner: The Death Cure. This is the final chapter of the Maze Runner franchise and it looks like it will be a solid conclusion. I've actually enjoyed the first couple of films in the franchise, so I'm actually looking forward to seeing how this story comes to an end.

In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure was directed by franchise helmer Wes Ball and also features Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Barry Pepper, and even Will Poulter will be back for this final chapter of the trilogy.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is set to be released January 26, 2018

Kevin Bacon Gets More Co-Stars in Syfy TREMORS TV Pilot

tremors4837.jpg

The TV pilot based on the 1990 cult classic Tremors just got three more cast members to star alongside Kevin BaconDeadline Hollywood reports that Emily TremaineMegan Ketch and Shiloh Fernandez will join Bacon in the Syfy pilot.

The Tremors follow-up is written by Andrew Miller and will be directed by Vincenzo Natali. In the episode, the killer Graboid worms that terrorized a rural town in Nevada 25 years ago are back, and the town’s only hope for survival is Valentine McKee (Bacon).

Tremaine will play the daughter of Val (Bacon). She is a recent college grad that stops by Perfection to visit her dad.

Ketch will play a young doctor who is fixated on Val, who saved her from a Graboid when she was a kid. But her character is hiding something that makes her an unexpected threat.

Fernandez will play a Perfection resident just waiting for the right moment to get out of town. The last thing he wants is to turn out like Val, who’s stranded himself in perfection for all these years.

This sounds like a fun continuation of the 1990 movie, but I can't help but speculate that if this show gets ordered to series, Bacon's character can't last too long.  He might "Ned Stark" his way out of the first season.

Jamie Lee Curtis Producing and Starring in Funeral Home Comedy Series

You know what I always missed when I watched Parks and Rec and The Office? Dead Bodies. I always thought, "Man, if only this took place at a funeral home." Well, it looks like my prayers have been answered, because that's just what Jamie Lee Curtis has started working on with CBS.

The project is called Quality of Life, and it is planned to be a multi-cam comedy in the same vein as Parks and Rec and Modern Family. I think that a funeral home has a lot of untapped potential. I mean how many comedies take place there? After Scream Queens was canceled after the second season, this will give Curtis a great comedy outlet. She has proven herself in the world of comedy in the past couple years in my eyes.

The project will be produced by CBS, and I have a lot of faith in it. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out, though.

This Breakdown Of The “Simulation Theory” Will Make You Question Everything

Is the world we know a lie and we're all in a simulation? I would've said the whole thing was crazy prior to watching this video, but now that I've watched, I'm not so sure. Honestly, if we were all living in a simulation, wouldn't it make sense that a vast majority of us would be convinced that we aren't? Maybe it's too early and I'm thinking into it all too much. Watch the video below and decide for yourself.
