I never thought someone would actually try and make a version of The Truman Show, but I suppose if I did, it would happen in Japan. Calling what the Japanese did the equivalent of The Truman Show, however, is far too kind as they basically destroyed a man's career in one of the most bizarre television shows you're about to learn about.
Nasubi, a young comedian, was given an "audition" for a tv show and told he might get the job if he could complete the challenge. The challenge was to strip down naked in a room and continue to live there while recording his life 24/7 and surviving only on things he won in sweepstakes. For an astonishing 15 months he kept this up, all the while having no idea that his day to day exploits were being shown to a Japanese audience. No, I'm not making this shit up.
Check out the video below, which is honestly about the craziest thing I've ever heard! How did this go on for so long?!
The holidays are coming up which means you’re out trying to find the perfect gift for the awesome people in your life. Here’s an idea for that Star Wars fan in your life, a LEGO BB-8 Building Kit for $79.99. This kit comes with 1106 LEGO bricks, and when completed, stands over 9 inches high and 5 inches wide. But wait, there’s more. There’s a cool stand that comes with him so when you’re not playing with him, others can see how cool you are. Also, the head rotates and the hatch on his side opens up and out pops a non-functioning welding torch so he can give you the thumbs-up! The only downside is that he can’t roll around with you everywhere you go.

Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the long-awaited sequel to Pixar's The Incredibles 2! It features little baby Jack-Jack stumbling around amusingly showing off his superpowers! We then get a little clip of Mr. Incredible learning of Jack-Jack's powers for the first time and he's very excited about it... at first.
We previously watched a clip from the film at D-23, which was a lot better than this, but this is just a teaser to get you excited about what is to come. You can watch our reaction video from the clip we saw here.
The Incredibles is my favorite film Pixar has made. It was made before superheroes films started to take off so in a way it was one of the first great superhero movies. I couldn't be more excited that this sequel is coming! Here's the synopsis:
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
The Incredibles 2 is being directed by Brad Bird (Iron Giant, The Incredibles). The movie busts into theaters on June 15th, 2018.
In the popular Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game World of Warcraft, there is a place known as Theramore. According to the lore, Theramore was a port town and was “considered the Alliance's most martial presence in Kalimdor.” Unfortunately, the town was destroyed and left in ruin. Now, Mark Erickson, or Mark of Falworth, has restored Theramore in LEGOs. Over 55,600 LEGO bricks were used in the construction of the port town and it looks incredible!
This is an impressive feat and took roughly six months for Erickson to construct. With the massive scale and attention to detail, I am not surprised by this and awed even more. To be that dedicated truly says something.
Tho:r Ragnarok has come and it's amazing. Everyone agrees... except for those who don't, and those are far and few. I thought it was amazing. I loved the characters and especially the whole look of the character designs. It's even cooler to see how they evolved over the process. Andy Park who worked on the pre-production concept art has recently shared some of his art on Twitter. And it's pretty rad.
One of the images features a worn down Thor. He looks tired, and beat. While it looks great, and very rustic, I really like that they cut his hair and made him more lively. I feel like Thor has evolved as a character from just a stupid bro, to a mopey bro, to a fully fleshed out friend. It's like a guy you can't stand in high school was humbled by the real world and became a cool guy who you hang out with now.
The other image is of Hela when the movie was going for something darker and boy does it look dark. I love what was done in the movie, but this is SUPER cool. I love how prickly it looks. It almost looks like I could cut myself on the picture. Hela was definitely a bit more leathery in the film, but I almost wish that there was more steel and sharp edges. It would have even been cool to see maybe a more war oriented Hela in the battle with the Valkyries scene.
Either way, Andy Park is a great artist. Check out his stuff below.
When it comes to marketing tactics and ways to grab the world's attention, you gotta hand it to Netflix for always knowing how to make a headline. To promote their upcoming film Bright, Will Smith and the streaming giant are requesting all people named "Will Smith" to reach out to them so that they can do some media interviews on behalf of the actor.
It's a goofy gimmick, but one I'm eager to see play out! If someone named Will Smith actually lands a big interview on a late night talk show in place of the actual actor I'll be so pleased with how this stunt played out. Anyone know a Will Smith? Make sure they see this!
If you had to guess how many times Bill & Ted say "dude" or some variation of the word in their sequel Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, would you guess it was north of 100? I would've but apparently, they fell just short at 91. Check out the compilation below, and drop a "dude" in the comments to pay respects.
I know I'm digging a deep hole for myself amongst the readership sourcing a Buzzfeed video to go up against Back To The Future, but dammit it makes a good point! A teenage kid makes buddies with the town's loon, and no one bats an eye about this? Of course, the audience knows Doc Brown is actually brilliant, but we only pick up the story when he invents time travel. How do Marty McFly and Doc Brown become friends? Where does this dynamic come from? Why is this whole situation now creeping me out?
Obviously, it's just a movie, but I always love when people overanalyze things in a film as it leads to more theories and discussion. Hear some potential explanations as to why Doc and Marty are friends in the video below.
