Remember when we were going to try and stop the robot uprising? We might have missed the boat on that one as Boston Dynamics has already given one of its robots the ability to outmaneuver the average person. In all seriousness this parkour bot is pretty cool, and makes me wonder how far off we are from a future where robot workers are a viable thing. Check it out below!
Don’t read this if you don’t wish to have Avengers 4 potentially spoiled.
The merchandising leaks for Avengers 4 have led to lots of speculation about the new film, with the latest being a threat greater than Thanos could be coming in the fourth film. Check out what Rocket Raccoon and Thor’s box art has to say about their role in the new film (via Comicbook):
The Asgardian Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker in his battle against new foes. Rocket teams up with a new crew to guard the galaxy from an even greater threat.
Who are these new foes? We can only guess but with rumors of Avengers 4 being titled “Annihilation,” some circles are suggesting this new villain is the Negative Zone ruler Annihilus. Others are skeptical of this considering the villain is still technically property of Fox. Sure the Disney and Fox deal has gone through, but putting the villain in the script long before the deal was a sure thing would’ve been a big dice roll to say the least. Of course, Disney might’ve worked out some deal with Fox beforehand for the villain, who is typically tied to the Fantastic Four.
Keep in mind a lot of this, beyond the actual description, is just general speculation. There could be other options for villains Thor faces off against. Any ideas? Feel free to share your ideas in the comments below.
Adele Lim is best known for her work as the screenwriter for Crazy Rich Asians. Osnat Shurer was a producer for Moana. Now, these two women are teaming up on an untitled fantasy-adventure animated film from Disney.
According to Deadline, Paul Briggs and Dean Wellins are currently set to make their directorial debuts with this project. The report also says that there will be an Asian element to the film, a female protagonist, a lack of music, and it will be a theatrical release.
Color me intrigued. As Disney has refused to comment, I will be treating this as a rumor.
Friday the 13th is revered as one of the most iconic horror franchises in the history of film. Since 1980 the franchise has grown into 12 films, including one crossover (Freddy vs. Jason) and one reboot. That is a lot of movies for anyone to watch if they aren’t familiar with the movies. So which movies are the most important to watch and which ones can you skip altogether?
Well don't worry, I broke down all 12 films, ranking them from least favorite to most liked.
Check it out below and feel free to share your own ranking in the comments below!
Watch more from One Minute Critic:
Dave Bautista wants to join Suicide Squad 2 now that James Gunn is at the helm. The question fans have had is, who should he play? Some fans believe he should be King Shark while others think he’d be perfect as Bane. If you fall into the latter category, you’ll definitely want to see one possible idea of what Bautista could look like as my favorite Batman villain.
BossLogic has decided to give his two cents in this artwork that mirrors a poster for Guardians of the Galaxy and it looks great. I just wish there was a better view of the front. Of course, he probably won’t have all the same patterns over his body as they are part of Drax’s costume. Does this convince you that Bautista should be Bane, or do you still have a different pick?
In only a few short days, players will be able to play as their favorite DC villain in the upcoming Lego DC Super Villains that will feature iconic characters such as Lex Luthor, the Joker, and many others. The trailer showed a few snippets of in-game footage that gives players a glimpse of what gameplay would actually be like. The game will feature a total of 200 characters and will be mostly comprised of iconic villains from the DC Universe.
“In LEGO DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to a newcomer group of heroes from a parallel universe, proclaiming themselves as the ‘Justice Syndicate’. However, legendary DC Super-Villains, including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor, Deathstroke, Killer Frost and countless others, discover that the Justice Syndicate may not be as heroic as they claim to be. Led by each player’s customizable super-villain character, this team of misfit lawbreakers must join forces to stop these phony super heroes and save the world… so that they can finally rule it themselves.”
Lego DC Super-Villains is scheduled to release on October 16 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
I may be wrong, but the idea of grown women creating their own adult Girl Scout troop sounds like it will go wrong, hopefully in all the right ways. That seems to be the premise behind Woman Scouts, a new comedy that NBC has put into development that comes from Charlie Grandy, Allison Hord, Seth Meyers, and Mike Shoemaker. The series will be written by and co-executive produced by Hord (Grandy, Meyers, and Shoemaker will also be executive producers) and here’s a better look at the premise.
With the right script and right cast, I think this will be hilarious. Otherwise, I don’t think it will work. I think Kristen Bell would be fun to have, but she might be too busy with The Good Place. Who would you like to see be part of this adult Girl Scout troop?
The CW has released a trailer from Supergirl Season 4 and it features the various new villains and challenges that Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will be going up against this season. One of those villains is Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer), an anti-alien zealot who seems to enjoy wreaking havoc.
Liberty is described as "the ruthless and terrifying leader of the Children of Liberty, a human-first hate group. He’s a "brilliant orator in the guise of a family man, who can easily convince people that he's right."
Season 3 saw Supergirl stop Reign and the other Worldkillers’ threat to humanity and our planet, and in the process, Kara was shocked to find her mother Alura alive and living in a salvaged Argo City that survived the destruction of Krypton. Reconnecting with her past caused Kara to realize that her true home is now here on Earth, where big changes are taking place for her and all of her friends in National City – and also, it appears, for a doppelganger in Russia! Season four promises to be full of surprises, action, adventure and lots of big revelations for Supergirl, Alex, James, J’onn, Lena and Brainy.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow ‘Winn’ Schott, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Jess Rath as Brainiac 5, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onnz, Sam Witwer as hero Agent Liberty, Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves, and Brent Spiner as Vice President Baker.
New episodes of Supergirl premiere Sunday, October 14 at 8/7c on The CW.
Sinemia seems to be growing and wants to help even the playing field between movie theaters. AMC and Cinemark each have their own subscription plans that were introduced to combat MoviePass, and Sinemia wants to help any theater do the same thing.
Sinemia has launched Sinemia Enterprise to allow any theater, even the small Mom & Pop ones, put together ticket subscription packages. They claim it only takes two weeks to get a plan created and customized to meet the wants and needs of theater owners.
According to Business Insider, Sinemia has already been working with some theaters to launch some of these new services later this month! It makes me wonder how much longer Sinemia will be offering their own subscription plans.
