Bethesda Revealed The C.A.M.P. Basebuilding Trailer For FALLOUT 76

The Construction and Assembly Mode Platform or C.A.M.P. is a vital tool used for rebuilding in Fallout 76’s post-nuclear world. Similar to other features on the upcoming game, the new C.A.M.P. tool was showcased by Todd Howard during Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference.

Fallout veterans would be more familiar with the G.E.C.K., which is a device widely used in the Fallout universe for its terraforming ability that can transform a wasteland, into a life-supporting environment in a short span of time. However, in the upcoming Fallout 76, players will be using a new device called the C.A.M.P. to set up their settlements in the game’s post-apocalyptic environment.

The C.A.M.P. will serve as an emergency quick start device that provides “shelter, supplies, and safety” as opposed to changing the environment altogether. It will give players the ability to erect trading outposts and trade supplies with other players. The trailer above showed a base-building that is similar to those in Fallout 4. The short preview also showcased some of the creatures that will make an appearance in the game such as the Scorchbeast.

Fallout 76 is slated for a release on November 14 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

First Trailer For THE PURGE TV Series – “Let The Fun Begin!”

We've been hearing about this TV series based on The Purge for some time now and now USA Network has released the first trailer showing us what's in store for the series, and it's pretty much just more of the same. There's a bunch of people enjoying murdering people during The Purge and a bunch of people trying to survive and fight for their lives.

Based on the hit movie franchise from Blumhouse Productions, The Purge revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Set in an altered America ruled by a totalitarian political party, the series follows several seemingly unrelated characters living in a small city. As the clock winds down, each character is forced to reckon with their past as they discover how far they will go to survive the night.

The Purge is written and executive produced by the film franchise creator James DeMonaco and led by producer Jason Blum. Additionally, the entire team behind the blockbuster franchise ‎are on board to executive produce which includes Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Anthony Hemingway (Red Tails) will direct the premiere episode.

The Purge will premiere Tuesday, September 4 at 10/9c on USA Network. Watch the trailer and let us know if you'll be tuning in to watch.

Mark Wahlberg and Iko Uwais Brutally Kick Some Ass in Red-Band Trailer For MILE 22

We've got an action-packed brutal red-band trailer for Mark Wahlberg's upcoming thriller Mille 22. The movie comes from director Peter Berg and the rest of the cast includes Lauren CohanIko UwaisRonda Rousey, and John Malkovich. This actually looks like its going to be a pretty badass action flick! As you'll see, there's going to be some great fight and action sequences in the movie.

In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.

STXfilms has already started working a sequel to this film along with a TV series. They are looking to blow this up into a big franchise and it certainly seems to have potential. The first film arrives in theaters on August 17th.

New Trailer For Jack Black and Cate Blanchett’s THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS is Filled with Imaginative Spooky Fun!

I would have never thought that director Eli Roth (Hostel) would ever bring us a movie like The House with a Clock in its Walls. Why? Because it's a family-style horror film and he's mostly known for his bloody hardcore films. I'm not a big fan of his movies, but this one actually looks really good! I never thought I'd say this about an Eli Roth film, but... I can't wait to see this!

We've got a brand new trailer to share with you today for the movie and it's packed with lots of great new footage full of extremely fun and imaginative spooky goodness. Jack Black and Cate Blanchett star in the movie, which is based on book series by John Bellaire.

"The magical adventure tells the spine-tingling tale of 10-year-old Lewis (Owen Vaccaro) who goes to live with his uncle in a creaky old house with a mysterious tick-tocking heart. But his new town’s sleepy façade jolts to life with a secret world of warlocks and witches when Lewis accidentally awakens the dead.”

The House with a Clock in its Walls was written by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke and it's being produced by Amblin. The movie also stars Owen VacarroKyle McLachlanCollen CampRenee Elise GoldsberryVanessa Anne Williams, and Sunny Suljic. It's slated for release on September 21, 2018. I also included the poster for the film below.

SOLO Screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan is Writing INDIANA JONES 5 For Lucasfilm

Let's forget about Star Wars for a minute and talk about one of Lucasfilm's other awesome franchises... Indiana Jones! I know some fans aren't too thrilled about seeing a fifth Indiana Jones film, especially after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but I am!

With Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford coming back for at least one more adventure, how can I not be excited? Now we've got some more good news to share. According to Collider, the script for the film is being written by Jonathan Kasdan, who recently co-wrote Solo: A Star Wars Story, which had a great script.

David Koepp was originally writing the script for the film, but Lucasfilm obviously liked working Kasdan on Solo and now they want him to work on this in some capacity. It's explained:

We don’t know the nature of Kasdan’s gig, so there are a few things we want to get straight. We aren’t sure if he’s rewriting Koepp’s existing script, or merely doing a two-week polish, or if he’s starting completely from scratch. We also don’t know if Kasdan is writing the script with a partner — perhaps his father, Lawrence Kasdan, with whom he wrote Solo, and who counts Raiders of the Lost Ark among his many credits. We also don’t know when Koepp left the project or when Kasdan was hired, be it before or after Solo opened below expectations, so it’s possible that he has been working on Indy 5 for some time now. As for who will ultimately get credit, we’ll leave that up to the WGA to decide.

We have no idea what the story for Indiana Jones 5 will entail, but it will most likely be Ford's last time reprising his role as the adventurous archaeologist. Lucasfilm definitely wants to continue the franchise, but it will most likely focus on a younger character taking over for Jones when he finally retires. We'll just have to wait and see. I did previously make a list of potential influences for the next film.

The last thing we heard about the movie was that it would start shooting in April of 2019 after Spielberg is finished with West Side Story. Indy 5 is slated to hit theaters on July 10th, 2020.

What adventure would you like to see Indiana Jones embark on in this next journey?

BOJACK HORSEMAN Gives Out Season 5 Release Date In Hilarious Fashion

The team behind Bojack Horseman finally revealed when Season 5 will be released, but only due to annoying fans pestering them non-stop on Twitter. That's what Bojack's account would have us believe anyway, as the former television star replied to a fan in an incredibly sarcastic tone:

Great stuff, although that's still quite a time to wait for fans of the animated comedy. Have you been sticking with Bojack Horseman? I hear it's one of the best comedy shows on television right now.

Netflix’s THE WITCHER Starts Casting Soon and The Writer/Producer Discusses Their Process

netflixs-the-witcher-starts-casting-soon-and-the-writer:producer-discusses-their-process-social.jpg

I'm pretty pumped up about Netflix's upcoming series adaptation of The Witcher and I like how writer and producer Lauren S. Hissrich has been keeping the fans updated on the process. The show is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's book and CD Projekt Red's game trilogy and Hissrich has announced that they will start casting soon. She also shared some details on how they will go about going through the casting process. Here's what she shared:

It completely makes sense to write up fake script pages for the casting process. Gotta keep those story details as safe as they can! Hissrich previously shared a full list of characters that will be making an appearance in the adaptation and those are many of the character that they'll be casting for. Mark Hamill has expressed interest in playing Vesemir, which he would be perfect for, so I hope to see that happen.

When previously talking about the show, Hissrich assured fans that it would not be a watered down version of the dark and hardcore story that fans love.

The Witcher chronicles monster hunters who, with training and body modification, develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle deadly beasts. Executive producers Sean Daniel and Jason Brown previously released the following statement offering some additional insight into the story:

“The Witcher stories follow an unconventional family that comes together to fight for truth in a dangerous world. The characters are original, funny and constantly surprising and we can’t wait to bring them to life at Netflix, the perfect home for innovative storytelling.”

We've got a long time to go before we see the series. It won't be released until 2020 but it's good to see that it's pressing forward and getting ready to cast. Are there any actors you hope to see end up being cast in the series?

GameTyrant’s Top 5 Games Of E3 2018

E3-2018.jpg

With E3 2018 over and all final game announcements from the event coming to an end, we wanted to close out this year with a few top choice announcements. While there is more to be shown for every game presented during E3, we were given a lot of exciting news and trailers. After seeing everything at E3 2018, here are GameTyrant's Top 5.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

First on our list with the highest amount of team members voting for it is Capcom's Resident Evil 2 Remake. This beloved survival horror title was shown off in a way that presented way more than just a graphical remaster. Putting more attention to detail than they did the first Resident Evil remake, Resident Evil 2 will have the controls and style of one of the most popular games in the series, Resident Evil 4, and even have the adaptive difficulty feature.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake is the top choice of GameTyrant and looks like a must-have game.

Daemon x Machina

Next up we have the intense mech fighting game announced for the Nintendo Switch, Daemon X Machina by Marvelous Entertainment. Featured with a pretty badass trailer and its hardcore music, we got to see some of the epic action that is going to take place on the open battlefield. Showing a few small mechs fighting much larger mechs is the perfect set up of good triumphing over evil, despite the odds.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

Then we have a game that some on our team stated, "Should be made into a movie." Beyond Good and Evil 2 by Ubisoft is one of the longest awaited sequels to be announced and had a huge positive crowd response after announced. Featuring a cinematic trailer, the story alone is looking to be intriguing and that doesn't even get us started on the gameplay that is sure to be even better than the original PS2 title.

Jump Force

Finally putting an end to the debates of which anime character would come out on top in a fight is Bandai Namco's feature title, Jump Force. Following a similar set up they made for Dragonball Fighterz, players will be able to set up teams of 3 containing their favorite heroes from across the anime spectrum. With Bandai Namco known for their ability to make great anime and fighter games, this was an easy choice to put on our radar.

Call of Cthulhu

Finishing off with an indie game pick, we found ourselves interested mostly in the trailer featured for Call of Cthulhu by Cyanide Studio. A Lovecraft based horror game that is sure to be full of strange events, crazy twists and a dark atmosphere is the core of what horror players could ask for. Raising so many questions and bringing us in with their odd trailer, we can only see the game being as interesting as the trailer and story itself.

Call-of-Cthulhu.jpg

And that ends our Top 5 games featured at E3 2018. There were a lot of great options to choose from and many more titles that we are interested in, but these games are the ones that made the best impression.

Do you agree with our top choices? What games do you think deserve to be in the Top 5 games featured at E3 this year?

Steven Spielberg’s HALO Series is Set at Showtime with Rupert Wyatt Directing

Showtime has officially given Steven Spielberg's long-awaited Halo series a 10-episode order! This project, which is based on the popular XBox video game franchise, was originally announced back in 2013, and now it's finally moving forward.

Spielberg's Amblin TV is producing the series along with Awake creator Kyle Killen and Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt. Killen will also serve as showrunner and Wyatt will direct multiple episodes. Production is slated to begin in early 2019.

David Nevins, President and CEO Showtime Networks had this to say in a statement:

"Halo is our most ambitious series ever, and we expect audiences who have been anticipating it for years to be thoroughly rewarded. In the history of television, there simply has never been enough great science fiction. Kyle Killen’s scripts are thrilling, expansive and provocative, Rupert Wyatt is a wonderful, world-building director, and their vision of Halo will enthrall fans of the game while also drawing the uninitiated into a world of complex characters that populate this unique universe."

This is certainly exciting news! As a fan of the Halo franchise, I've been waiting for this to happen since it was announced. It may have taken a lot longer to happen than expected, but it's happening and it sounds like Showtime is going to give it the love, attention, and budget that the series needs to get it done right.

I have no idea what the story will entail, but I'm looking forward to finding out. I kind of hope that they base it on the book series starting with Fall of Reach. What are you hoping to see from the Halo series?

First Teaser Trailer For Matt Groening’s Adult Animated Fantasy Series DISENCHANTMENT

first-teaser-trailer-for-matt-groenings-adult-animated-fantasy-series-disenchantment-social.jpg

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Matt Groening's new animated project Disenchantment, which is a fantastic sounding adult-themed fantasy series. The promo doesn't give us much, but it's enough to get fans excited.

In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.

The trailer shows the main character princess Bean being brought back home to her father. The creator previously had this to say about the show:

“Ultimately, disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”

The series will feature the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson as Bean, Nat Faxon as Elfo, and Eric Andre as Luci, along with John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.

The animation is being developed at Rough Draft Studios (Futurama) and it will premiere on Netflix ten episodes at a time, starting in 2018. I can't want to see a trailer for this! It looks and sounds like it will be a great series!
