Here’s Your First Look at Kristen Wiig in WONDER WOMAN 1984

Director Patty Jenkins has shared the first photo of Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva in Wonder Woman 1984. As you know, Minerva ends up becoming the villain Cheetah in the film, who will end up fighting against Wonder Woman.

A lot of fans are a little skeptical of Wiig taking on this world. It was definitely an unexpected casting choice, but I'm looking forward to see how she bring this character to life. I also can't wait to see what the Cheetah character design looks like!

We don't know much about how the story of this film will play out, but Minerva, "a British anthropologist who becomes the avatar of the cheetah god after locating the lost city of Urzkartagan and stumbling into the middle of an ancient ritual."

The story is set in 1984 during the Cold War, and is said to follow Diana Prince as she reunites with Steve Trevor to fight evil. When previously talking about the film, director Jenkins said:

"[Wonder Woman is an] optimistic and positive character. This film set in the '80s, she has to deal with the temptation of our world, and face extraordinary odds."

The sequel is set to star Narcos actor Pedro Pascal who will also have a lead role. You can read some rumored information about who he might be playing here

The screenplay was written by director Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham. The film will be released on November 1, 2019.

Nicolas Cage Battles Crazy Evil in Bat-Shit Insane Trailer For MANDY!

The first trailer for Nicolas Cage's bat-shit insane film Mandy has finally been released! I've been waiting to share this trailer with you ever since I first saw the film at Sundance so that you could get a little taste of the nightmarish insanity that this film entails. This has got to be the craziest movie that Cage has ever been in and he's glorious in it! The trailer even gives you a glimpse at the epic Nic Cage chainsaw battle!

Bubbling up from somewhere in the realm of madness and chaos comes the eagerly awaited latest from grandiose filmmaker Panos Cosmatos. Somewhere in the primal wilderness near the Shadow Mountains in the year 1983, Red Miller (Nicolas Cage, in an adrenaline-inducing performance) has fallen deeply for the beguiling Mandy Bloom (Andrea Riseborough). But the life he has made for himself comes suddenly and horrifyingly crashing down when a vile band of ravaging idolaters and supernatural creatures penetrate his idyllic paradise with vicious fury. A broken man, Red now lives for one thing only—to hunt down these maniacal villains and exact swift vengeance.

Here's what I had to say in my review:

I’ll be honest, the first half of the film I actually wanted to get up and walk out of the movie. It was very much a psychedelic dream-like type story with synthesized music and crazy lighting and colors with a story that didn't seem to be going anywhere. I was like “what the hell is this shit?!” But there were little things here and there that kept me in my seat. Little things that kept my interest intact.
Then, when the movie hit the second half, it was time to buckle up because this movie takes you on a ride of pure unadulterated insanity!!! If you like watching Nicolas Cage go completely bonkers, this movie gives you his most bonkers and adrenaline-fueled performance yet! I’m not even joking! Watching Cage in this movie is worth the price of admission.

I can't wait to see this movie again! This is one of those films that I'll probably end up watching multiple times dragging friends and family to go see it!

Mandy was co-written by director Cosmatos and Aaron Stewart-Ahn, and it arrives in theaters on September 14, 2018.

Red-Band Teaser Trailer For The Insane Film ASSASSINATION NATION Offers Up Some Trigger Warnings

A wickedly wild red-band teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming film Assassination Nation and it offers you a bunch of trigger warnings for people who are easily offended because this film is offensive. Some of those trigger warnings include sexism, racism, torture, violence, and fragile male egos.

I saw this film up at Sundance earlier this year and it was one of my favorite movies that I saw at the film festival. It was just so utterly brutal in all kinds of aspects. Sure, the violence is crazy brutal, but so are the statements that the film is making about society. Here's a rundown of the story of the film from my review:

The film is set in the small town of Salem, reminiscent of where 20 witches were hung because of nothing more than rumors about them being witches. In fact, imagine how much crazier things might have been if the Salem Witch mob had access to social media. That is kind of the road that this movie takes us down.
Assassination Nation is set in the present-day and centers around a high school senior named Lilly and her three best friends, who like most people these days, engulf themselves in social media with all of the selfies, texting, chatting, and photos. Well, these four young ladies are forced to fight for their lives when an anonymous hacker exposes all of the town’s dirty little secrets from their digital private lives. This includes browser histories, direct messages, illegal downloads, secret texts and a lot of these things have the power to ruin lives. The people of the town become fed up with the leaks and they end up going bat-shit crazy with rage as they try to find out who is behind it.

This movie isn't for everyone. But if you like what you see in this teaser trailer and you like what you're hearing about it, then you've got to watch it because it's one hell of a wild ride!

The film comes from writer and director Sam Levinson and stars a talented cast that includes Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef, Abra, Bill Skarsgard and Bella ThorneDavid S. Goyer (Man of Steel) is also a producer on the film.

The film will be released in theaters on September 21, 2018. I also included a new poster for the film below that includes the tagline, "You Asked For It, America."

New ANT-MAN AND THE WASP TV Spot Introduces “Antonio Banderas” and a Featurette Focuses on Shrinking Cars

Marvel fans are gonna love Ant-Man and The Wasp! I recently had a chance to see it and it was an absolute blast! Today we have a couple great new promos for the film for you to watch. The first is a funny TV spot that features Ant-Man having a bit of difficulty trying to get a ride until "Antonio Banderas" manages to pick him up. The other video we have to show you is a featurette that focuses on the car chase scene that has shrinking cars. It's definitely unlike any car chase scene you've seen before. That video offers interviews with the cast and crew and it also shows off a good amount of new fun footage! Enjoy!

Todd McFarlane Plans on Pitching a SPAWN and VENOM Crossover Movie To Sony

While Todd McFarlane is getting ready to direct his first feature film Spawn, he's already thinking about the future of the character and the wild possibilities that he's dreaming up for other films.

During a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, McFarlane, who co-created Venom, is getting excited about a crossover movie featuring Spawn and Venom. He's so excited that he's already planning on pitching the film to Sony Pictures if they end up distributing his Spawn movie. He says:

"Here’s a big 'What If.' What if Sony distributes Spawn? Then is it possible that in the future Sony could have a crossover with Venom and Spawn? It’s possible. So, I will be presenting that possibility to the Sony executives when we get ready.

My conversation with them would be, why wouldn’t you? Here’s what I know. Let’s say Venom is huge — I hope it is — then no matter who distributes Spawn, the first thing you will see in every trailer will be, 'From the co-creator of Venom.' So, then my question to Sony is, why would you let one of your competitors use that line, given that it was your effort that made Venom work? Your money that made Venom work? Your marketing that made Venom work? I think it’s worth asking, then, what happens if they both work? And then what happens ten years down the line, when they want to do a Spawn/Venom crossover and they get the guy who helped create both those characters to direct it? Might be kind of cool."

I guess nothing is impossible. After all, McFarlane managed to work his way into the director's chair of Spawn having never directed a film in his life. The guy pushed through everything, wrote his Spawn script and got what he wanted. I know this crossover seems like it's a crazy idea that would never happen, but McFarlane is crazy enough to put in the work, willpower, and perseverance to try and pull it off, just like he did his upcoming Spawn film.

Would you want to see a Spawn and Venom crossover film?

FORZA HORIZON 4’s Full Car List Leaked

It appears that a racing fan has discovered the current roster of cars for the upcoming game Forza Horizon 4. The fan stumbled onto the list after pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition that automatically pre-downloaded the game to the fan’s PC. After the download, he examined the game files and discovered a list of over 450 cars.

The fan posted the full list of cars from his download folder onto Reddit. Of course, since the game is still in development, the list can always change and include more vehicles. Going through the leaked list, some players expressed their concern about not having their favorite cars in the game, while others made assumptions on which vehicles will end up as DLCs instead.

The official Forza Twitter account did acknowledge the accidental release of the list due to the early download feature in the pre-ordered version of the game. However, they did not comment on the leaked list of cars and even advised players that they can uninstall the download files if they wish.

Forza Horizon 4 will take place in Great Britain and will be released on October 2 to the Xbox One and PC.

Did your favorite car make it to the list?

Watch The Opening Sequence For The New RISE OF THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Animated Series

Nickelodeon recently released the opening sequence for their upcoming new cartoon series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The opening sequence also includes a wild new riff on the classic 90s TMNT cartoon opening theme song.

The first trailer for this film completely turned me off. It's hard for me to get past these character designs. But some people seem to dig what this series is going to deliver. Some people are saying that the animation work is innovative, but I'll let you decide what that means to you.

In the end, the series is for kids and this looks like the kind of stuff that they're already used to. It looks like it will certainly stimulate their brains! Also, in case you didn't know, Raphael is the new leader of the Ninja Turtles in this series.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows the band of brothers - Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo - as they discover new powers and encounter a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City. Co-executive produced by Andy Suriano and Ant Ward, the 26-episode series will debut on Nickelodeon later this year.

The series features the voice talents of Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raphael, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Michelangelo, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil and Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter. The main villain,  Baron Draxum, will be voiced by WWE-wrestler, John Cena.

There's still no release date but the teaser trailer says the new series is coming soon.

First Look at Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in Quentin Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD

Leonardo DiCaprio has shared a photo from the set of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It offers up our first look at the actor as Rick Dalton as well as Brad Pitt in the role of Cliff Booth, who are two of main characters in the film. Ya gotta love that late sixties style!

Tarantino's new film has been described as a Pulp Fiction-like film that centers on characters around Los Angeles in the summer of 1969. The Manson Family murders serve as a backdrop to the story, which follows the two lead characters Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), a former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate, who will be played by Margot Robbie.

The movie has an incredible ensemble cast which also includes Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth. Some of the supporting cast members include Luke PerryDamian LewisEmile HirschDakota FanningClifton Collins Jr.Keith Jefferson, James Marsden, Julia Butters, Nicholas Hammond, and Al Pacino.

Lewis is taking on the role of Steve McQueen; Fanning is set as Squeaky Fromme, the Manson follower who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford; Hammond will play director Sam Wanamaker; and Hirsch is playing Jay Sebring, the Hollywood hairstylist who was one of four victims in the Tate murders. As for Perry, he will play Scotty Lancer, Collins will play Ernesto The Mexican Vaquero, Keith Jefferson is Land Pirate Keith, and Pacino is playing Marvin Schwarz, who will be DiCaprio’s character’s agent in the story. There's no information on who Marsden or Butters will be playing.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released on August 9th, 2019.

First Look at Hank and Dean From THE VENTURE BROS. Season 7

Last month it was revealed that The Venture Bros. Season 7 was going to premiere this summer! We haven't seen a new episode of this fantastically awesome animated series since 2016. Now, thanks to io9, we have a first look at the characters Hank and Dean from the upcoming season. The art was included in a new book, Go Team Venture! The Art and Making of The Venture Bros.

Dark Horse Comics will be publishing the massive hardcover book that includes 376 pages of Venture Bros. greatness. The book will be released on July 18th, and there's no doubt that fans of the series are going to want to get themselves a copy.

The site also conducted a lengthy interview with Venture Bros. co-creator Chris McCulloch that I suggest you check out. He talks about all kinds of things that include The Tick, Toxic fandom, and developing a show like Venture Bros. in a world saturated with superhero entertainment. When addressing the toxic fandom, he talks about how he doesn't go out shouting at the world about how a movie ruined his childhood.

"That’s why I’m not that privy to the toxic nerd-dom stuff. Because it would never dawn on me to go on the internet after seeing something I liked or disliked. Maybe if it seemed like a small diamond in the rough that people should made aware of and could use the signal boost? Like, I’d go, “Holy crap, I just saw this little movie, you should go see it.” That’s about the most I’d do. I can’t imagine complaining to the internet about not liking a movie and here’s all the reasons why, because it wasn’t the movie I would have made even though I’ve never made anything in my life, you know? I don’t understand any of it. So if it’s getting ugly out there, I’m sorry. And I do not support yelling at a poor woman who did a good job acting or anything like that."

There's still no exact date on when Venture Bros. Season 7 will premiere, but I can't wait to watch these characters embark on some new and wild adventures again.

Laurence Fishburne Wants To Play Galactus in a FANTASTIC FOUR Movie

If Marvel Studios ever end up making a Fantastic Four movie with Galactus as the main villain, they already have a great actor to cast that wants to do it! That actor is the great Laurence Fishburne

In case you forgot, if this happened, it wouldn't be the first time Fishburne worked on a Fantastic Four movie. He previously provided the voice of Silver Surfer in Rise of the Silver Surfer, while Doug Jones did the mo-cap work.

This is what Fishburne said during the recent live stream of the Ant-Man and The Wasp premier:

"Well, you know this is not my first time in the MCU: I was actually the voice of the Silver Surfer. And if they ever go back to that again - if it was a villain - I would love to do Galactus."

And I would love for Fishburne to play Galactus! It’s a casting choice that you can’t really go wrong with. I’m extremely curious to know how Marvel would bring this character to life on the big screen! There’s no doubt it would be a lot better than a cloud. I’m sure there would be more mo-cap involved so Fishburne would most likely just provide the voice, which is still just as good.

Now let’s just hope that Disney and Fox deal goes through so Marvel gets to make a Fantastic Four movie!
