Have you ever wondered what happens when someone realizes they're on The Carbonaro Effect? I definitely have, because I feel like the show is popular enough now most people would have to realize what's happening like ten minutes into his weird tricks to regain their sanity. Apparently, it doesn't happen as often as I would assume, but it does happen as Michael revealed a prank that ended abruptly when the guy realized this trippy situation was very similar to a TV show he watched with his sister. Check it out below, and watch the guy slowly realize he's on television:
Side note, because I feel like this is just a weird factoid to bring up, I first watched The Carbonaro Effect in Joey's house three years ago hours after I met him for the first time in real life, so I always think of that moment when I watch this show.
A new photo has been released for Wonder Woman 1984 and it gives us our first look at Gal Gadot in full costume. The photo was taken at the Watergate Hotel Whiskey Bar, which is where they were shooting the film.
The costume looks pretty much the same. If there is one thing that I notice it's that it seem a bit brighter in color. When previously talking about the film, director Patty Jenkins said:
"[Wonder Woman is an] optimistic and positive character. This film set in the '80s, she has to deal with the temptation of our world, and face extraordinary odds."
The sequel is set to introduce Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) as the villain and Narcos star Pedro Pascal will also have a lead role. We just don't know what that role is. Then, of course, Chris Pine is back as Steve Trevor.
The screenplay was written by director Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham. The film will be released on November 1, 2019.
Tabletop gaming is a great hobby, although for some it can be rather hard to keep up with. Coordinating times to play and locations to meet is always a chore, and sometimes you never know when you'll have an hour to kill and play a game with friends. Asmodee understands that, and is bringing one of its most popular games to Nintendo Switch.
Carcassonne is coming to the Switch later this year, and if you've never played it before, you should! Check out a quick trailer below and continue reading:
Asmodee Digital added there are plans to bring more tabletop games to the Switch, which means we could see Catan, Ticket To Ride, Colt Express, Pandemic, and so many other great tabletop games of the past couple decades appear on the platform. Personally, I'm super stoked because I love playing my Switch in tablet mode, and also love playing tabletop with friends.
Here's hoping the launch later this year is successful because I'm banking on the Switch being a big haven for future Tabletop games.
Jim Belushi is a jerk, at least, in David Cross' eyes. To Cross' credit, the story he tells makes it indeed sound like Belushi might be a jerk after rejecting an autograph for a woman in the most bizarre manner I've ever heard. Apparently, if Jim Belushi is one of your heroes, don't ever try to meet him in real life! Listen to Cross' story below, and let us know what you think:
I don't know how it all happened so fast, but we've reached the point where a "graduating class of 2018" is a thing. That's wild to think about, and its even wilder to think about how Sesame Street has managed to be around and remain relevant in the time since! On that note, Grover had some parting words for the graduating class and delivered a commencement speech to all graduates soon on their way out into the real world, and it's surprisingly funny. Check it out below, and wonder what university would get stuck with Grover as the Sesame Street character to give a commencement speech! No one wanting to spring the money for Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Elmo, or even Oscar?!:
It’s always fun to see what fans create for their fandoms. Karma Animation recently uploaded a fun Pokemon animation to Twitter. The scene features the original starters, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, and has them get into an accidental fight. Over time, Squirtle evolves into Wartortle, Charmander goes straight to Charizard, and Bulbasaur grows Venasaur’s tree without his body getting any bigger. Oh, you’ll also want to watch the credits as they include stills to show the aftermath of the encounter. Enjoy!
Finally! Here's the finished project I've been working on for a loooong time. It was really hard at some moments and I experimented a lot of new things with it, but I'm really proud of the final result. Hope you like it! pic.twitter.com/HAOKTaLCkU
I saw this mashup of the classic 1966 Batmobile with Christopher Nolan's Tumbler. I don't know who created this Batmobile awesomeness, but it was shared on Twitter by Batman comic artist Greg Capullo. The Batmobile mashup includes the bulk and power of the Tumbler and the slick retro look of Adam West's classic ride. Someone needs to bring this to life for real!
If you're in the market to see lovable creatures torn apart by the ravages of war, you've come to the right place. No, this isn't some warped parody of Club Penguin, this is from an old 80s anime by the name of A Penguin's Memory. If you think Japan is weird now, wait until you see this! Check out the clip, and if you're interested in seeing the rest of the anime, be sure to do a search around the web...you'll find it I promise!
Billy Mitchell has officially launched a "redemption tour" to clear his name after he was exposed as a cheater and stripped of all his video game records, and it's not off to a great start. Variety was there for the first night of his tour where Billy had the room for an hour to a standing room only crowd of around 150 people.
Mitchell opened the room to questions at the beginning of his speech, but then proceeded to talk for 55 minutes before his moderator, podcaster Bobby Blackwolf, was able to speak a full sentence. Those who attended said it was Mitchell speaking non-stop and providing stacks of emails and random documents that showed he was legit. People may not be too interested in all that, but what they will be interested in is what Mitchell had to say about the people who called him out as a cheater and continue to doubt his records are valid:
“They’re jealous crybabies who want to be worshipped sitting behind their keyboards.”
Mitchell then went on to describe a conspiracy which involved the new owners of Twin Galaxies plotting against him personally and seeking to besmirch his good name. There also was a brief moment where he mentioned pornography, his son, and a FBI investigation. Truly, it sounds like it would've been wild to sit through, which is good news because he's coming to a city near you to do it all over again! Unfortunately I can't find the details of where and when he'll be appearing, but I'm desperately hoping he's coming near me soon. I NEED to witness this.
One Punch Man is an amazing anime, and the character design is a huge reason I love that show. You can imagine my excitement when I saw that Yusuke Murata, illustrator for the Young Jump release of One Punch Man, decided to sketch Mega Man. The sketch is very rough, but the potential is incredible! I would watch a new Mega Man anime using this character design. Maybe bring him in to join Saitama and Genos for a fun crossover.
