Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn recently shared the first footage of Chris Pratt trying on Star-Lord's iconic mask for the very first time.
Remember when it was announced that Chris Pratt would play Star-Lord!? I thought the casting was great but there were a lot of fans who weren't sure he would work. Well, five years later he certainly proved everyone wrong. He ended up being amazing as Star-Lord!
It's kind of fun to see the moment that Pratt put on the mask for the first time. The crew of the film is laughing and having a good time with it, while there's also a group in the video who are just dead serious!
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for their second season of 13 Reasons Why. This is one of those shows I unexpectedly completely got hooked on. There was a lot of controversy surrounding the series due to its subject matter but it was a well-made show that, I thought, carried a powerful message.
Based on the best-selling books by Jay Asher, the Netflix Original Series 13 Reasons Why follows Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker—his classmate and crush—who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Will Clay be one of them?
Season 2 picks up "in the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the start of our characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery. Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah’s death concealed. A series of ominous polaroids lead Clay and his classmates to uncover a sickening secret and a conspiracy to cover it up." Hense all the polaroids in the teaser trailer.
In preparation for the launch of Season 2, new resources will be added to 13ReasonsWhy.info, including an updated Discussion Guide and a new Discussion Series – a set of videos where cast address issues in the series including bullying, sexual assault and drug abuse.
13 Reasons Why Season 2 will be released on Netflix on May 18th,
It has been confirmed that a role-playing game from The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red will be presented at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The official E3 2018 exhibitor directory confirmed that CD Projekt Red would be in attendance at the event with an unnamed RPG for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Of course, it doesn’t take that much to figure out that the game in question is most likely to be Cyberpunk 2077, which has been anticipated by the gaming community to appear at E3 2018. CD Projekt Red hasn’t revealed much information on the development of 2077 besides the fact that the upcoming open-world RPG will not contain any microtransactions and that it will be more ambitious than their previous game, The Witcher 3. Hopefully, more details will come to light during E3 such as a gameplay trailer.
E3 2018 will take place on June 12-14 in Los Angeles, California. What would you like to see on CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game? Are you optimistic that Cyberpunk 2077 will be grander that The Witcher 3? Which game are you looking forward to seeing in E3 this year? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
I think this goes without saying due to the title of this article, but spoilers are coming.
Who else was blown away by the end of Avengers: Infinity War? From the sudden fading of many favorite superheroes to the dramatic and very sad end to Peter Parker, it was a crazy ending. I am sure many of you are sitting there complaining about how we know everyone who vanished will be brought back somehow and therefore the gravity of the situation was lessened, let’s remember there’s another movie that is a continuation. If this movie taught me anything, it is that Marvel will surprise me, and I love it. I love how everyone was wrong about who was going to die, including me. That being said, what do the directors, Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, have to say about that ending? In a recent interview with Variety, the Russo brothers talked about the need to make these superhumans vulnerable so that the audience can relate to them and Anthony goes on to say:
I know many are going to bring up the point from earlier about the dead heroes coming back due to contracts and announced sequels. Not to mention, there’s no way Marvel would kill off Black Panther after his solo movie did so well. However, I think the statements that come next may help calm you down. Anthony starts saying:
Joe then finishes the thought:
I think that’s the key. What will be the cost of bringing those heroes back? Will Tony or Steve (or both) have to trade their life for their fallen friends? Tony feels personally responsible for the loss of Peter and is sure to do something reckless. However, did Doctor Strange hint at Tony being the key to defeating Thanos when he gave up the Time Stone to spare Tony? It’s hard to say, but I’m sure the stakes are going to get bigger. After all, that’s the pattern the Russo’s have established. In Winter Soldier, the stakes were S.H.I.E.L.D., in Civil War they were the Avengers and the relationship between Tony and Steve, in Infinity War we had at least 2 permanent deaths (Heimdall and Loki) with at least one more real possibility (Gamora). Why not ramp it up even further in Avengers 4 next year?
Avengers: Infinity War is out now and Avengers 4 is set to release May 3, 2019.
I am a huge fan of Ip Man film franchise and I'm excited to report that there is a fourth IP Man film in development! Donnie Yen posted a photo of the script for Ip Man 4 and says that franchise director Wilson Yip promised him that this would be the best one.
We don't have any details on the story, but Ip Man lived an incredible life as a master teacher in the art of Wing Chun. This is the man who trained Bruce Lee. If you haven't seen the first three films in the franchise, you really need to do that because you're missing out on complete and utter awesomeness!
Hopefully, we get some story details on Ip Man 4 soon. When that information does finally come to light, I'll let you know! Are you excited that we are getting a fourth Ip Man film?
Below the announcement, I posted some videos featuring the best fights scene from the three movies that have been made including the scene where Donnie Yen fights Mike Tyson.
Marvel has released the new full trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp and this movie looks like it's gonna be a blast! It looks like a ridiculously fun movie and I think fans are really going to enjoy what they see in this latest trailer that is packed full of awesome new footage and offers some additional insight into the story! I also just want to point out that I really like what they are doing with the villainous Ghost character.
This new trailer for the film should help cure those Infinity War blues.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.” In the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War,” Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
We've since learned that the mission will focus on going into the quantum realm to save Janet Van Dyne. Also, whatever happened in this movie will lead into Avengers 4.
Peyton Reed is directingAnt-Man and the Wasp and it stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michael Pena as Luis, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, T.I. as Dave, Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jimmy Woo, and Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, and Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost.
Ant-Man and The Wasp will be released in theaters on July 6th, 2018.
Mel Gibson has found his next film project! He is set to direct another World War II film called Destroyer. Gibson most recently directed the WWII movie Hacksaw Ridge, which was an incredible film. I love that he's going to direct another war film and this next one sounds great!
Like Hacksaw Ridge, Destroyer also centers on the Battle of Okinawa. This one, however, is set in April 1945 and tells the epic story of the USS Laffey, which is a ship that withstood multiple kamikaze attacks and earned the nickname "The Ship That Would Not Die."
The movie will be based on the book by John Wukovits called "Hell From the Heavens: The Epic Story of the USS Laffey and World War II’s Greatest Kamikaze Attack." According to the report, Wukovitz used "personal interviews with survivors, the memoirs of crew members, and the sailors’ wartime correspondence to construct the story."
The script for the film was written by Rosalind Ross and I can't wait to see how this movie turns out. I've heard stories about this ship and it's so cool that it's actually getting a movie made that's based on it. With Gibson at the helm of the film, I know it's going to be great. The guy is one hell of a director and storyteller.
Gibson is also being eyed by Warner Bros. for a possible role in The Six Billion Dollar Man opposite Mark Wahlberg.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently shared a letter on social media thanking the fans for the crazy success that Avengers: Infinity War has seen. As you know, the movie had the highest grossing weekend of all time and it's still raking in the cash! Kevin Feige wrote:
To the greatest fans,
The past ten years have been an unforgettable ride and we couldn't have done it without the entire team at Marvel Studios, our incredible talent in front of and behind the camera, the visionary comic book creators, but most importantly you.
Thank you for embracing these characters and stories since we kicked off the MCU ten years ago. This past weekend was a result beyond our wildest dreams.
On behalf of everyone here at Marvel Studios, we thank you for being the best fans in the universe and making Avengers: Infinity War the biggest opening weekend of all time.
I just want to say right back to Kevin Feige... Thank you! Thank you for making great Marvel films for the fans to enjoy! You've proved that you are just as much of a fanboy as the rest of us. The Marvel fans can tell that you love these characters just as much as we do. You've brought us ten years of amazing films and we can't wait to see what the next ten years of Marvel movies will bring us! Keep up the great work!
Developer ConcernedApe just announced that a PC beta of the co-op mode for Stardew Valley is now live and can be accessed by fans via Steam by doing the following steps:
First, players can enable the new beta by right-clicking on the game in your library and select Properties. In there, you’ll find the Betas tab and type the password “jumpingjunimos” and click the Check Code button. Once done properly, players should be able to access the Beta in a drop-down box, which will automatically prompt the game to download version 1.3. As always, it is better to back up your game first before downloading the beta, as advised by ConcernedApe in Steam.
The multiplayer mode of Stardew Valley allows players to have up to three friends living on their farm. Of course, your friends will need a place to stay in so there is an option to build them cabins or use pre-built ones. The good thing about this is that Cabins are not that expensive, so it's easy to have your friends with you early in the game. All three players will share the farm, money, and world updates. However, inventory, skills, and relationships with the villagers will be kept separate.
The new co-op mode will also give players the option to choose whether you want your friends on Steam to join, or if you’re a bit picky and would like your farm to be strictly by invitation only, which would require players to input an invite code to join the server. Furthermore, ConcernedApe revealed that players could marry each other. However, only the host player can pause the game, and sleeping would require all players to say Yes to a dialog box for the day to officially end.
You can check out the full patch notes on Steam. ConcernedApe also revealed that new content would be coming to the single-player mode soon and that multiplayer mode will also head to consoles, but the Nintendo Switch will get it first.
Paul Feig's all-female Ghostbusters movie did really go over well with most audiences. Even though I enjoyed Feig's previous films and the cast that they got to star in the movie, it ultimately ended up being a huge disappointment. In fact, I thought it was a downright terrible movie.
It's been a couple years since the movie was released and since then we learned that producer Ivan Reitman is developing an animated spinoff movie. I haven't heard anything about a sequel to Feig's movie, though. I figured it wouldn't happen, but Feig would really like to make a sequel! While talking to Yahoo, he said:
"We would love [to make another movie]; it’s really up to the studio. We had so much fun making that movie."
I'm sure it was a blast being able to make a movie like that, unfortunately, the final product just didn't work. That's just my opinion, I know that there are some people that did enjoy the film. The director is certainly proud of it. He went on to say:
"The movie’s just really built an audience in the two years since it’s been out. I get contacted every day by people who are such fans of it, and so many women who are inspired by seeing women in science. I will go to my grave so proud of that movie, and so proud of what that cast did in that film."
Would you like to see Peig team back up with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones for a Ghostbusters sequel or do you hope they just leave it alone?
