Adam Sandler is back, once again, in his fourth Netflix original comedy The Week Of. This time he's brought along with him fellow SNL Alum Chris Rock. But is this just another disappointing movie from Happy Madison? The Week Of is NOW streaming on Netflix.
Olly Moss is a pop culture artist who has made more incredible art. This time, he tackles Avengers: Infinity War. However, instead of giving us an awesome movie poster, he made adorable prints of 12 members of The Avengers. How could you not want a print of Black Panther in a box playing with balls of yarn? You need to hurry though as it appears that starting tomorrow morning, they won’t be available anymore. You can pick up individual prints for $15, 2 groups of 6 prints for $55, or all 12 for $100. Stop reading and give this man your money!
If you're excited about Lucasfilm's Solo: A Star Wars Story, I've gotta couple of fantastic new TV spots for you to check out today! They both offer some new footage from the film, but the most notable one below features more footage of Jon Favreau's alien character Rio Durant, and we hear him talk for the first time. And guess what? He sounds exactly like Jon Favreau! It's funny because it seems like his character has never seen a Wookie before.
I also included a cool fan-made supercut video featuring all the footage that has been released so far prior to these TV spots. That video was created and posted by Film Threat.

Developer Santa Monica has been occupied in releasing updates for their critically acclaimed game, God of War. So far, the studio is already up to version 1.15, which promises to bring “various bug fixes and improvements,” that were also the promise for the previous four patches launched.
Probably one of the most significant changes that were introduced by previous updates is the inclusion of a text slider in the accessibility menu. Given the game’s almost perfect scores everywhere, the only complaint fans have at the moment is the ultra tiny in-game text that forces players to stand up from the couch and go face to face with the TV to read stuff from the Codex. The recent update attempted to rectify this issue, but instead of increasing the text in-game, it only magnified it slightly that fans barely noticed the difference. Even though the text size is still an issue right now, at least Santa Monica Studio is committed to ensuring that all bugs are patched immediately. It’s impressive to see the team’s dedication to updates as they have already released four patches a week after the game’s release.
Santa Monica’s passion forGod of Wardoes not only show in their service post-release, but also from overwhelmingly positive reviews, including ours. In our God of Warreview, we were impressed on how the game was able to transition the franchise into a more modern gaming community. “The characters were well fleshed out, the story deep and immersive, combat is refreshing and familiar, and the environment expansive and alive.”

It's the moment you've all been waiting for! The full trailer has been released for the upcoming comedy Uncle Drew! The movie follows a team of elderly men who have the skills to whoop some ass on the basketball court!
The movie stars NBA stars Kyrie Irving and Shaquille O’Neal, as well as comedians Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish and Nick Kroll. The movie does look amusing and it should give audiences a few laughs. The movie follows a down-on-his-luck guy who puts together a basketball team of elderly men to enter a streetball tournament. Here's the synopsis:
After draining his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic street ball tournament in Harlem, Dax (Lil Rel Howery) is dealt a series of unfortunate setbacks, including losing his team to his longtime rival (Nick Kroll). Desperate to win the tournament and the cash prize, Dax stumbles upon the man, the myth, the legend UNCLE DREW (NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving) and convinces him to return to the court one more time. The two men embark on a road trip to round up Drew's old basketball squad (Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie) and prove that a group of septuagenarians can still win the big one.
The movie is being directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline, Step Sisters and Lila & Eve) and it was produced by Pepsi Productions because apparently, Pepsi is getting into the movie business! The movie is actually inspired by a series of Uncle Drew Pepsi commercials. It will be released on June 29th.

Oscar-winning director Gullermo del Toro has been developing a big screen adaptation of the classic Alvin Schwartz horror book series Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark for a while now. Well, the film project is now officially moving forward as Entertainment One and CBS Films have come on board to co-finance the movie!
I grew up on these books. I loved how freakin' terrifying they were! The combination of crazy stories and the nightmarish art was so much fun! As far as the story for the film goes, it's said to follow "a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their small town."
The movie will be directed by André Øvredal (Troll Hunter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe) from a script co-written by del Toro, Daniel Hageman, and Kevin Hageman. Steve Bertram, eOne’s President, Film, Television and Digital had this to say in a statement:
"(The film), led by the incomparable Guillermo del Toro, is such a chillingly fun ride that it’s sure to leave audiences around the world jumping in their seats. We’re thrilled to be joining Terry Press and her team at CBS Films, Guillermo, André Øvredal, and the talented group they’ve assembled, and look forward to launching in Cannes through our partners at Sierra/Affinity."
The movie is scheduled to start shooting this summer in Toronto and Ontario. CBS Films will distribute the film in the US through Lionsgate.
20th Century Fox recently announced at CinemaCon that they were developing a new kind of story format and technology that will allow for audiences to make choices for the characters while watching the movie.
They have teamed up with an app called CtrlMovie, which was created by a company called Kino. The showed us a video that demonstrates how the whole movie experience would work. There are several points in the story where the audience will be given two options to choose from and they will vote on their phones. For example, if a character finds himself being confronted with a bunch of thugs in a dark alley, you can choose to fight them or walk away. It's pretty much like what Telltale is doing with their story-based games.
This offers various different outcomes for the movie. The studio announced that the first film to utilize this technology will be based on the classic Choose Your Own Adventure book series. The film is being produced by John Davis, John Fox, and Greg Berlanti. Chris Aronson, 20th Century Fox’s president of domestic distribution had this to say:
“Bringing game changing, innovative technology to audiences and enhancing the cinematic experience has always been a cornerstone of the Twentieth Century Fox brand and our next venture is the outstanding CtrlMovie technology we are utilizing for ‘Choose Your Own Adventure.’ This interactive experience, and the passionate, creative team behind this project, allow the true spirit of the beloved book series to fall into the hands of fans around the world.”
I honestly don't know how this is going to go over with audiences. While it's an interesting concept that could either be very annoying or fun. I just imagine everyone in the theater yelling out what everyone should choose. Then the choice with the most votes goes through. So, what about the experience for the people that whose choices didn't go through?
It just seems like there could be a lot of problems. I can see it working at home with friends and family, or even by yourself. I enjoyed Stephen Soderbergh's interactive HBO series Mosaic by myself, but doing that in a theater full of people, some of which will want to make different choices than me, doesn't appeal to me.
What do you all think of this Choose Your Own Adventure movie going experience? Do you think it will work?
Fortnitedeveloper Epic Games is pushing through with the lawsuit filed against a minor who was caught cheating multiple times in the game that effectively violated its terms of service. The boy’s mother attempted to have the case dismissed, but it seems that Epic is not backing down on this one and will move forward with the lawsuit.
The case was brought to the attention of the media last year when Epic filed lawsuits against two Fortniteplayers. It was not clear whether the developer knew beforehand that one of the people they’re going after is a minor. GameTyrant reached out to Epic Games a few months ago for a comment, and a PR representative told us that:
“This particular lawsuit arose as a result of the defendant filing a DMCA counterclaim to a takedown notice on a YouTube video that exposed and promotedFortnite Battle Royale cheats and exploits. Under these circumstances, the law requires that we file suit or drop the claim,” Epic explained. “Epic is not okay with ongoing cheating or copyright infringement from anyone at any age. As stated previously, we take cheating seriously, and we’ll pursue all available options to make sure our games are fun, fair, and competitive for players.”
During the heat of the issue last year, the mother of the minor spoke out and wrote a letter asking the judge to dismiss the lawsuit. Epic responded to the letter recently, (which you can read in full here as obtained by TorrentFreak) disputing the points presented in the mother’s letter that claimed that Epic was unable to prove that the minor was able to modify a copyrighted game code, second, that the developer illegally disclosed the boy’s name, and third, that Epic won’t be able to prove a “profit loss” as a direct consequence of the cheating, which should be a reason enough to dismiss the case. The latest filing by Epic disputes all three points in detail.
Lastly, the fourth point reiterated that the boy is a minor and accepted Fortnite’sterms and conditions without parental consent which would mean that Epic cannot sue for damages. The developer argues that a precedent has already been set when another case, which involved students clicking “I Agree to the terms of the user agreement” and also used the “infancy defense.” However, the court ruled in that situation saying that “a valid contract existed between the minors and the software company” because the students agreed to the user agreement.
GameTyrant has reached out to Epic Games for a comment on the recent developments of the lawsuit.
Disney has released a Japanese trailer for Pixar's Incredibles 2 and it's definitely worth watching because it's packed full of awesome new action-packed footage that you'll want to see! I recently got to see the opening sequence of the movie at CinemaCon this week.
As you've heard, the movie picks up right where the first movie left off, when the Underminer comes up to attack the city. The whole opening sequence is the Incredibles family trying to stop him and it's really great scene that sets the stage for the film. A lot of that footage is in this new trailer.
In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
The voice cast also includes Brad Bird, Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush, and Isabella Rossellini.
The Brad Bird-directed film is set to smash into theaters on June 15, 2018.
