ASH VS. EVIL DEAD Season 4 Would Have Been MAD MAX Meets FALLOUT With Robots

Last week it was announced that Starz had canceled Ash Vs. Evil Dead after three gloriously blood-drenched seasons. I loved this show and it was pretty disappointing to hear that it was canceled.

Had the series been picked up for a fourth Season Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and star Bruce Campbell had been developing it and they knew exactly where they wanted to take it. According to Bloody-Disgusting:

If “Ash vs. Evil Dead” had been blessed with a fourth season, it would have taken Ashy Slashy to the future. Think sci-fi post-apocalyptic, like Mad Max meets Fallout, only with…robots!

Now I'm even more bummed out that the show got canceled because I would have loved to see this! The report goes on to point out:

"Interestingly, this would have been the full leap into the much-desired Evil Dead 4, which was teased at the ending of Raimi’s initial cut of Army of Darkness. If you recall, Ash pulls a Rip Van Winkle and awakens 100 years in the future. Unfortunately, this ending was changed, but remains available in various alternate editions of Army of Darkness. This could have been the fourth season of Ash vs. Evil Dead.

What a missed opportunity! Damn... that would have been a blast to watch! I know that Bruce Campbell says he's retired, but it would be awesome if Raimi, Tapert and Campbell shopped the series around to Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon and see if they'd let them finish out their series and bring this wild next chapter of Ash's story to life. It'd be a bloody shame if they never got to tell this part of the story!

Fantastic New Trailer For Terry Gilliam’s THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE Offers New Footage and Story Details

We've got a brand new trailer for you to watch for director Terry Gilliam's long-awaited film The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. It's been a long road for the filmmaker to get the movie made, but he did it! He actually completed his passion project and it looks like a fantastic film! The new trailer offers us a good amount of new footage and additional insight into the story. It looks like it's going to be a fun film filled with all of the wonderful things that I enjoy about the films Gilliam makes.

The movie stars Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) in the role of Toby and Jonathan Pryce (Pirates of the Caribbean) in the role of Don Quixote, and this is the synopsis:

The Man Who Killed Don Quixote tells the story of a deluded old man who is convinced he is Don Quixote, and who mistakes Toby, an advertising executive, for his trusty squire, Sancho Panza. The pair embark on a bizarre journey, jumping back and forth in time between the 21st and magical 17th century. Gradually, like the infamous knight himself, Toby becomes consumed by the illusory world and unable to determine his dreams from reality. The tale culminates in a phantasmagorical and emotional finale where Toby takes on the mantle of Don Quixote de la Mancha.

The movie also stars Stellan Skarsgård (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Good Will Hunting), Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Oblivion), Joana Ribeiro (Portugal Não Está à Venda, A Uma Hora Incerta), Óscar Jaenada (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Jordi Mollà (Criminal, In the Heart of the Sea), Sergi Lopez (Pan’s Labyrinth) and Rossy de Palma (Julieta, The Flower of my Secret).

Amazon Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film and I imagine it will be released sometime this year. There's no official release date yet, but it still might premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Now That You’ve Seen AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR What Do You Think Will Happen in AVENGERS 4?

Before we begin, if you haven't seen Avengers: Infinity War yet, you may not want to read any further.

By the end of Avengers: Infinity War, a ton of characters were dead! Bucky, Groot, Black Panther, Star-Lord, Spider-Man, Gamora, Loki, Heimdall, Drax, Doctor Strange, Mantis, Falcon, Vision, and Scarlet Witch. By the end of the movie, we were pretty much left with the core Avengers team.

I'll be honest, I was shocked that Captain America and Iron Man lived! I thought for sure they were dead. This just goes to once again prove that Marvel is willing to take big risks and do the unexpected. Seriously! Who would have thought that Black Panther and Spider-Man would be killed off!? By the way, that Spider-Man death absolutely destroyed me. The was so damn sad.

Anyway, now that we've seen Avengers: Infinity War, it is a little easier to talk and speculate about what might happen in Avengers 4.

I've been seeing a lot of people saying that all the people who died in Infinity War aren't really dead. Some people have speculated that maybe they are now in another dimension. I don't believe that at all, I believe they are dead for real. Unless Doctor Strange put some kind of magic spell on the Time Stone before he so freely gave it to Thanos. I doubt that's the case, though.

Before Doctor Strange disintegrated into a cloud of dark ash, Tony Stark asked him why he gave Thanos the Stone so freely and Strange said something to the effect of, "It was the only way." What did he mean by that? Well, Strange did go forward in time to see a shit ton of different outcomes on how everything goes down and saw only one where they succeeded. Maybe the one outcome where they actually succeeded and beat Thanos was the one that involved Strange giving Thanos the Time Stone and letting Thanos destroy half the universe?

Well, it happened. Thanos destroyed half of the universe. So now what? I think that now that everyone knows what Thanos can do and see what he is capable of and what he has been planing, the only way that they can stop him is to stop him before he actually does it. I still think that time travel is going to play a big role in Avengers 4

Time travel seems like the only way to fix everything and make it so that some of those dead characters don't die in the first place. We know that Spider-Man and the Guardians are coming back because there are sequels that have been announced for them... unless Marvel was lying about those sequels!

What if the Avengers find a way to travel back in time to collect or destroy the Infinity Stones in an effort to stop Thanos? I think that Ant-Man and The Wasp could help with this through the use of the Quantum Realm. They are going to be two of the main characters in Avengers 4. Joe Russo already said that there will be different heroes at the forefront of the story. Those characters will also obviously include Captain Marvel and Hawkeye. But, there are also the surviving heroes of Infinity War. It's just hard to tell how those other characters will be utilized.

As we saw in some previously leaked set photos, there was a scene being shot where a modern day Ant-Man is interacting with Captain America from the first Avengers film. What if we see the Battle of New York play out a lot differently? What if Ant-Man is able to talk them into going after Thanos at that moment when space and time is ripped open? Could we see some of the original core members from the first Avengers film sacrifice themselves in the past to save the future?

I'm obviously stuck on this time travel theory, but as I've said before, Marvel and the creative team have been doing the unexpected. A lot of people are expecting time travel so there's always the chance that they will do something completely surprising and different. But what could that be!? Even if the time travel element is a part of the story, it might just be small in comparison to what is really being planned. When all is said and done though, there will be some characters that don't survive that will stay dead forever. I just have no idea who those characters will be!

How do you think Avengers 4 will play out? How do you think Ant-Man, The Wasp, Captain Marvel, and Hawkeye will be utilized? How will the surviving members of the Avengers be used!? I have so many questions! I can't wait to see how the story continues!

Kevin Feige Teases More Films For Characters You Wouldn’t Expect to See More Films For

According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, there are certain characters in the MCU that they are not finished with telling stories for yet. The surprising thing is, some of these characters have already had three or four movies of their own. While talking to AP, he said:

"There are still things that are key elements to a lot of our characters in their comic incarnations that we haven’t even done yet for characters who have had three or four movies. It is an amazing wealth of creative material to pull from."

Does this mean that characters like Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor could still be open for more films in the next phase that Marvel is planning? It definitely sounds to me like Feige has plans to tell some more stories for these characters. After all, he specifically references characters who have already had three or four movies.

These are all characters that fans have predicted would eventually be killed over the course of these next two Avengers films, but maybe that won't be the case! Maybe they'll survive! Maybe the actors will all renew their contracts, and maybe we'll eventually see more films with Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor, which would be surprising and pretty awesome!

Who knows what Marvel is planning, but would you be happy if these characters actually did continue to get movies of their own? What other stories involving these characters would you like to see told on the big screen?

Kevin Bacon’s Syfy Channel TREMORS Reboot Series is Dead

I've got some bad news for all of you Tremors fans out there. Like many of you, I was super excited about Kevin Bacon coming back to the franchise after all these years to reprise his role of Valentine in the reboot series for Syfy. Well, according to the actor, that series isn't moving forward. It's dead. Bacon broke the news on Instagram, saying:

"Sad to report that my dream of revisiting the world of Perfection will not become a reality. Although we made a fantastic pilot (IMHO) the network has decided not to move forward. Thanks to our killer cast and everyone behind the scenes who worked so hard. And always keep one eye out for GRABOIDS!"

The series was set 25 years after the events of the first film and found Valentine McKee (Bacon) attempting to save the town again — but this time, also battling age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex. He also had a daughter who would have played into the story.

I'm actually pretty bummed out that we won't see this series. It sounds like it would have been a fun series. I don't watch a lot of shows on the Syfy Channel these days, but I would have watched this! Oh, well.

#Tremors Sad to report that my dream of revisiting the world of Perfection will not become a reality. Although we made a fantastic pilot (IMHO) the network has decided not to move forward. You may or may not have seen an Arrested Development character that was hidden in Avengers: Infinity War. While I didn't notice it watching the movie, as the credits rolled at the end of the there are a bunch of the usual courtesy legalese. One of the things that is mentioned here is "Character from Arrested Development appears courtesy of 20th Century Fox."

Well, it turns out that "Tobias Funke" appears, covered in blue paint, with a mustache, and wearing cutoffs. You can get a look at the character in the image below with him in one of The Collector's collection pods. This is obviously not David Cross, but it's still cool that the Russo Bros. threw this in the movie.

In case you don't remember, in Arrested Development Season 2, Tobias realizes that the Blue Man Group is his dream job. So he paints his body blue in the hopes of getting hired by the group. The fact that his skin is painted blue makes him a perfect addition to The Collector's collection!

For those of you who don't know, Joe and Anthony Russo worked on Arrested Development in the early part of their careers. This also isn't the only time that they included an Arrested Development Easter egg in a Marvel film. In Captain America: Civil War they included a Bluth family stair car in the background of one the fight scenes.

DOTA 2 Patches Won’t Be Released During Major Tournaments

Valve’s latest update for Dota 2, which was released in the middle of the Epicenter XL tournament caused significant chaos for players who had to adapt to the gameplay changes in a short amount of time. The situation made Valve learn the hard on the importance of timing when it comes to releasing patches, which is why the company has decided to delay updates whenever they coincide with major eSports events.

Valve announced via Twitter that “for upcoming majors where the Thursday patch would land during the tournament, we will instead be releasing the patch at the end of the event.”

This issue that seemed to be a problem with Valve’s Dota 2 is virtually non-existent in other games featured in e-Sports tournaments. Other titles include tournament modes, which is an older version of the game,  which aims to give eSports players enough time to practice on gameplay changes and prevent interruptions during tournaments as the case with the Epicenter XL tournament.

However, developers of games that are being used in eSports tournaments are still facing the problem of how they will be able to balance the needs of regular players, who are continuously looking for constant gaming changes and multiple twists in gameplay, and professional players who value consistency to aid with the mastery of their skills.

There’s a Third ANNABELLE Horror Film in Development With Director Gary Dauberman

The creepy, possessed doll that helped launch The Conjuring franchise is coming back for a third film! New Line Cinema has hired Gary Dauberman to write and direct the film. He is the writer behind the first two Annabelle movies, and he will be making his directorial debut with the third film. He also worked on Stephen King's IT and the upcoming Conjuring spinoff film The Nun.

The last film, Annabelle: Creation was directed by David F. Sandberg and it was scary as hell! I loved it and I hope that Dauberman will be able to bring that nightmarish magic back to this latest film.

There are no details on the story but we know the story will once again focus on the porcelain doll that is possessed by a demonic force. What do you think of this franchise? Are you happy to hear another Annabelle film is in the works?

The new Annabelle sequel is said to be on the fast track for New Line, and the film will be released on July 3, 2019.
