The update seems to add a lot of complexity to an already rich and diverse game. As an avid Diablo 3 player, I am interested in picking this game up and trying it for the first time. Interested in checking out what the new update has to offer? Here is the trailer for the Bestiary Challenge:
Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming murder mystery thriller with Carey Mulligan called Collateral. The trailer for the series does a great job of setting up the premise... who murdered the pizza delivery driver and why?
Set over the course of four days, the story centers on Detective Inspector Kip Glaspie, who refuses to accept that the murder is a random act of senseless violence and becomes determined to discover if there is a darker truth. Politician David Mars instantly is embroiled in the drama through his turbulent relationship with his troubled and unpredictable ex, Karen. All the while, Jane Oliver, a compassionate vicar, struggles to conceal her affair with the only witness to the crime.
The movie originally premiered on BBC Two, so this isn't a Netflix original. But, it does get the Netflix seal of quality in the United States. As a fan of crime thriller stories, I'll definitely be checking this out. It looks solid!
Collateral comes from writer David Hare(The Reader) and director S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones). It also stars former Doctor Who co-star Billie Piper, John Simm, Nicola Walker, Nathaniel Maretello-White, Jeany Spark, Hayley Squires, Kim Medcalf and Ben Miles.
Mondo has unveiled a new piece of poster art for The Empire Strikes Back created by Jock. It's called "That Armor’s Too Strong for Blasters" and it's based on the scene from the film where Luke Skywalker takes down an AT-AT. The poster above is the regular edition and the one below is the variant. This is such a radical piece of Star Wars art. I've always like Jock's art style and I love what he's done here.
The regular edition is a 24″x36″ screen print and it will cost you $60. It goes on sale today at 12pm and will be available through Friday at 12pm. The variant edition is a 36″x24″ screen print. It comes in a limited edition of 275 and it will only be available today, Tuesday, February 20th at 12pm. It will cost $80. You will be able to buy them here.
Netflix has released a new trailer for Marvel's Jessica Jones Season 2, and in it, Jessica (Krysten Ritter) is attempting to deal with her dark and tragic past. She's even going to anger management, but as you'll see, it's not really doing her much good. At the same time, she digs deep inside herself and finds the hero within and the desire to use her powers to help do some good in the world and help those that she loves.
This is an awesome new trailer and if you're excited about this upcoming second season of Jessica Jones, you're going to love this. Along with some new footage from Season 2, the trailer also includes a lot of stuff from Season 1.
Jessica Jones is a hard-drinking, short-fuse, mess of a woman who is just trying to make a living as a Private Investigator in New York City. She’s super strong but is haunted by a dark past that keeps her from truly becoming a hero.
Jessica Jones Season 2 will hit Netflix on March 8th.
ABC has released a trailer for a new Star Wars documentary that they will air called The Force of Sound and it dives into all the crazy cool sounds effects that were created for Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi. Even if you didn't like the story the movie told, you have to give credit to the talented individuals who worked on the technical aspects of the film like the visual effects and the sound.
The doc will take fans inside Skywalker Ranch where the secrets from director Rian Johnson and the Oscar-nominated sound department will be revealed.
The creative team at Lucasfilm have always pushed the boundaries in sound design. Some of the coolest sounds ever come from the Star Wars films! One of the most iconic is the sound of a lightsaber igniting. That's been burned into my memory ever since I saw my first Star Wars movie!
I do have to say that one of the coolest parts of The Last Jedi is a scene that didn't even include any sound. Remember when Admiral Holdo makes the jump to lightspeed and rips through the First Order fleet? That might be one of the most epic Star Wars scenes ever. The fact that cut the sound out for that moment made it even more powerful. That scene is actually highlighted in this trailer.
The Force of Sound will be released on February 20th during ABC News.
Mario has been an iconic character in the video game industry ever since he’s debut back in the 80’s. Now, Dark Horse Publishing, who has been successful with its The Legend of Zelda reference books, is now eyeing the Mario franchise as it plans to release a book chronicling 30 years of everything Mario in the Super Mario Encyclopedia.
The encyclopedia will cover everything there is to know about Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom. Dark Horse plans to look at every single Super Mario game from 1985 to 2015. Unfortunately, the latest entry in the franchise, Super Mario Odyssey was not able to make the cut, as it was just released last year.
The encyclopedia will chronicle enemies, level designs, known glitches, tips and tricks, and a guide to help players find all collectibles in the game including coins, stars, mushrooms, and many more. The book will be 256 pages thick, filled with the history of the franchise, that will definitely be a treat for fans of Mario and Nintendo alike.
The book is slated to be released on October 23 this year, with the standard edition priced at $39.99. Dark Horse has not announced any collector’s edition as of now, but given their video game publications in the past, it is only a matter of time before a fancier version of the encyclopedia will be announced.

Last week we learned that the director of Sicario 2, Stefano Sollima, was hired to helm the first feature film adaptation of Activision's video game franchise Call of Duty. He seems like he is a great choice to take on the film, which is said to launch a Call of Duty cinematic universe.
In a recent interview with Metro, the director reveals that he wants to cast Tom Hardy and Chris Pine in his movie. I think both of these actors would be a perfect fit for the film. When talking about Hardy, Stefano said:
"I mean, I like almost everything [he’s been in]. I’m waiting for his Venom. Even in Mad Max, he was great."
He then went on to talk about Pine and what he could bring to the movie:
"He’s tough, but he’s smart and he can have a sense of humour but he can [also] be in such a dramatic role. I like when you feel that an actor can play with different nuances and tone because this means they’re a good actor."
Only time will tell if he is able to get these two actors on board. As of right now, it's just talk. It'd be cool if things ended up working out, though! If they did end up staring in a film together it wouldn't be the first time. They were in a film called This Means War together, and they actually had great on-screen chemistry. So to see them work together again would be great!
Tom Hardy is also set to star in the big screen adaptation of Ubisoft's Splinter Cell. Not sure if that would keep him from joining Call of Duty. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
In animated movies, TV shows, and comics, it is common for members of the Bat-family to have some kind of white lens over their eyes when in costume. In the live-action movies, however, there has only been a lens of some kind in two instances and only for special suits. The first was in The Dark Knight when he was using the sonar-like technology to fight the Joker. The second was in Ben Affleck’s suit for fighting Superman in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. This has been a point of contention for some fans. I personally always just thought it was something done to make the animation process easier and that’s why it never translated over. I’m not opposed to them trying it though. A fan reached out to Chris McKay who is directing the upcoming Nightwing film, asking him to give the character the white lenses. McKay provided a one-word response: “Agreed”.
Nightwing has not released any information though regarding casting or release dates. We know that a script is near completion (if it hasn’t finished yet) and McKay has been wanting fans to vote on Twitter to aid in the casting quest. Do you think Nightwing should have white lenses, or should he just go the route of previous members of the Bat-family?
For a while now, we’ve been hearing about the potential for a Black Widow movie. Marvel seems to want to do it, and we’ve heard reports that they’re working on getting it greenlit, but nothing has been confirmed. At least, not officially. In a recent interview with ET Canada, Chris Evans was talking about the success and excitement for Black Panther when he said:
Is he unofficially confirming Black Widow was greenlit, or is he just voicing his support of the project? I agree with him that Marvel can do anything at this point. Everything they put out is guaranteed success, even if it’s not great. This is both a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing because it should help them have confidence in taking risks. It’s a curse because if they’re not careful, we could end up with a bunch of mediocre movies that no one actually cares about.
I think Marvel should do a Black Widow movie, and it’s one of the few times I will say that I want an origins movie. I have felt so burned out with the origins stories the last few years; it’s nice when they don’t dedicate an entire film to how we got the character. However, I would love for them to explore Black Widow’s origin. I feel like there’s a lot there that they could dive into and it would be great.
I grew up on Power Rangers. I watched as a dedicated fan from Mighty Morphin through Dino Thunder which came out when I was in about 8th or 9th grade. The show was always cheesy, but it was also always fun to watch. It was even cooler when I learned later in life that a lot of the scenes were taken from a Japanese show called Super Sentai. That added to the cheesy, almost campy, feel of the show. That’s why I was a little confused at the announcement for the latest season.
At first glance, there’s nothing unusual about Power Rangers Beast Morphers. However, when you look at the source material, things start getting Inception-y. Beast Morphers will be based on Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. Go-Busters came out back in 2012 which marks Saban Brands’ first dive into the Sentai back catalog instead of using one of the more recent series. The bigger odd moment though is that Go-Busters is a bit of a love letter to Power Rangers. When they transform, the characters say “It’s Morphin Time!” and “Let’s Morphin!” in English. They also call the mecha beasts they control Zords which is a term that was coined for the western audience.
I think this is an odd choice for Saban, but I think it’ll be great. I may try watching this new season to see what they do with their adaptation of this love letter written to them. Here’s a synopsis for Beast Morphers:
