Are you wondering what the true future of 4K lies? Sony might have the answer, but it's nowhere near commercially viable at this time. The company is showcasing the Sony Life UX 4K projector at CES 2018, and for just $30,000 you too can have a 120 inch 4K projector in your home. Constructed within a modestly size coffee table with a marble top, this projector is meant to short throw and keep your projector out of the way of the rest of your living room. According to Engadget, the device also transmits 360-degree atmospheric sound, which definitely makes me more interested in it as the future of television.
Of course, there's no way in hell I'm paying the equivalent of a new car just to keep my living room dim at all hours when the television is on. When I hit the lottery though, this is going to be my first purchase.
Before I get into what this story is about, let me start by saying seeing Gillian Anderson with blonde hair is a jarring thing. Now that I've spoken my peace about that, on to the story. Anderson was on The Late Late Show last night and shared her near miss of what was about to be a very awkward conversation with her son about sex. Fortunately, things aren't as they seem, but I'll let Anderson tell the story because it's a lot better hearing it from her.

What life does one live where they spend their free time playing Star Wars songs on a pipe organ? That's what I'm asking myself as I watch this man wind his way through "Cantina Band," without a care in the world. Where does one even get the sheet music to play that? Did he make it himself? These are answers I don't have, but I do know I will be subscribing to his channel. What about you?
I always love a good clip from Talking Toons, and Rhys Darby really delivered in recreating an exchange between James Bond and Goldfinger. This clip just got me so excited for Darby to take the lead in the What We Do In The Shadows sequel We're Wolves. Check out the two goofing off below and have a few laughs along the way.
Looking for a way to work some Doctor Strange into your day? If you're not down to watch the entire film all over again, check out this musical remix courtesy of Eclectic Method which reminds us all we need to "silence our egos," from time to time. I honestly forgot how trippy this film is in segments, which is weird because my lasting memory of it is how disappointed I was it wasn't weirder. Where do you rank this film as far as other Marvel films go?
The smash hit prison-escape game, The Escapist 2, developed by Team17 together with Mouldy Toof Studios, is now available on Nintendo Switch. The original Escapist was initially launched on Steam back in 2015 and it was received so well that it warranted a sequel that has just arrived for Nintendo’s hybrid system.
The Escapist 2 still retains the pixelated sandbox prison-escape game style but has improved graphics and better crafting and combat systems. The game also introduced a multiplayer option, a feature that fans of the game requested the most. The Switch version of the game allows players to team up with another inmate via a local two player split screen mode, that will take advantage of the Switch’s Joy-Cons, or Pro Controller. For the first time in the series, players can now work together or against one another and see which convict can make the quickest escape.
The game’s version for the Switch will also feature 10 unique themed prisons to escape from, an online multiplayer mode, a highly customizable character with over 300 customization options, and a dedicated tutorial for newcomers to the series. Check out the official description of the game below:
“Risk it all to breakout from the toughest prisons in the world. Explore the biggest prisons yet, with multiple floors, roofs, vents, and underground tunnels. You’ll have to live by the prison rules, attending roll call, doing prison jobs, and following strict routines; all the while secretly engineering your bid for freedom! Your prison escape antics will take you from the frosty Fort Tundra, a train hurtling through the desert, and even to the final frontier!”
The Escpaist 2 is now available to download on the Nintendo eShop for $19.99. Will you get The Escapist 2 on the Switch? What do you think is the best strategy to escape a prison? Share your thoughts on the comments below.
So look, we all know that Hugh Jackman said he was completely dine with playing Wolverine after Logan. As hard as it was to hear that we'd never see Jackman play Wolverine again, Jackman ended his time as Wolverine on a high note. Logan was incredible and if he never plays Wolverine again at least he ended it with, in my opinion, his greatest performance ever.
Well, it sounds like Jackman might actually be thinking about coming back now that Marvel and Fox have joined forces and we will see the X-Men finally crossover with the Avengers. The information came from MCU star Sebastian Stan during a panel at Ace Comic Con. While there, he shared a story of how he asked Hugh Jackman about the possibility of returning. Here's what Stan had to say:
"Recently I happened to be sitting next to Hugh Jackman. I didn't know what other awkward thing I could talk about but to be like, 'Am I going to see you soon?' I don't know. But he said a couple of things to me and I'll just leave it at that. Otherwise, I feel like I'm going to get into trouble with somebody."
It didn't seem like getting in trouble bothered him that much because he continued:
"I asked him because I kept thinking he said whether or not that was, Logan, was supposed to be the last Wolverine thing or whatever and he said to me, well I think he publicly said out there, which was like he's been thinking about it and it's been on his mind. So, I don't know, he may be."
So, is Hugh Jackman actually thinking about coming back to the role of Wolverine? Stan doesn't really have any reason to make this up, so who knows. Why would he just bring it up like that unless it Jackman said something note worthy? Jackman recently commented on the idea of coming back after the Disney-Fox merger and this is what he said:
“It’s interesting because for the whole 17 years I kept thinking that would be so great, like I would love to see, particularly, Iron Man and the Hulk and Wolverine together. And every time I saw an Avengers movie I could just see Wolverine in the middle of all of them like punching them all on the head. But it was like, 'Oh well, that’s not gonna happen,' and it was interesting just when I first saw that headline — it was just the possibility of it and who knows what’s gonna happen, obviously — I was like, 'Hang on!' But I think, unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there."
Well, Sebastian Stan may have gotten our hopes up, but as far as we know at this moment, Logan was Jackman's final performance as Wolverine and I'm ok with that. I just assume that Marvel is going to end up rebooting the whole thing anyway.
Would you want to see Jackman return now that Marvel has control of the X-Men characters?
If you're a fan of Sylvester Stallone's hardcore action franchise The Expendables, you'll be happy to hear that a fourth film is back on track! Stallone made the announcement on Instagram with an image and a caption that reads:
"Just when you thought it was safe to go outside…They’re coming back!"
We haven't really heard anything about this film project since it was announced a year ago that the movie would be coming out in 2018. Before that, it was supposed to be released in 2017, so the movie seems to keep getting pushed back.
Stallone first started talking about the film project about three years ago. Since then, we've heard that Hulk Hogan was in talks to play the villain and that Stallone is looking to give fans something completely different. When talking about that, Stallone said:
"I have actually entertained the idea of putting the group into such an unnatural environment that it, in an of itself, creates extra suspense and tension: the 'fish out of water' scenario. That environment might not be time travel, but nearly just as jarring."
We don't know for sure which actors will be returning for the fourth installment yet, but I'm sure Jason Statham, Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, and Randy Couture will all come back.
Are you excited to hear that The Expendables 4 is still pressing forward!? I doubt it will be released this year, but if Stallone is serious this time, maybe we can expect it to be released in 2019.
Earlier this week, Tom Holland posted a video of himself at a driving range. Now, this normally wouldn’t be too exciting, but Holland was decked out in his Spidey-Suit while hitting a great shot. For some reason, this video feels like something I’d expect Deadpool to do to promote his new movie. The scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming that Holland is referring to is when Spider-Man is chasing some baddies through backyards and a golf course. If you loved Spider-Man: Homecoming, don’t forget to keep an eye out for news regarding its sequel that is rumored to be starting production next summer. I wish that I got to go golfing in a superhero costume. I’d probably go around as Iron Man. Which comic book character would you like to golf as?
