Quentin Tarantino is Also Looking to Cast Al Pacino in His Manson Family Movie

For some reason, I never really imagined that Quentin Tarantino would ever work with Al Pacino but it looks like there's a chance that it might happen. According to Variety, the director is interested in casting the actor in his upcoming ninth film that is set in 1969.

Last week it was announced that Leonardo DiCaprio was officially cast in the film as an actor character in the story, and the director has also asked Margot Robbie to take on the role of Sharon Tate, but she has yet to accept the offer. He's also looked at casting Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in another lead male role.

The untitled film is described as being a Pulp Fiction-esque type movie set in the 1969 Los Angeles during the summer of the Manson murders. According to a previous report, the story focuses on "a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick—who’s also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story."

There's no information on who Pacino would play in the film, but I hope that he ends up being cast. It'll be cool to see him and Tarantino work together.

The film is being produced by Harry Potter’s David Heyman and the released on August 9, 2019, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of Tate’s murder.

HBO Hopes To Start Shooting The DEADWOOD Movie This Fall

HBO is getting closer and closer to making the long-awaited Deadwood film. The possibility of this film has been discussed for years! Ever since the show was canceled in 2006. We recently heard that the cable network loved the script and that the film would start shooting in 2018. Well, 2018 is here and in a recent report from The Playlist, the movie will start shooting this fall if everything comes together. One of the main things that needs to happen is getting all of the actors from the series back! HBO Programming President Casey Bloys offered the following update:

“David Milch is doing a rewrite that he and the producers were talking about. If they can get all the actors together, which they’re trying to do — and everybody wants to do it — if they can get everybody back together, we’re looking at fall 2018 to shoot something. But a lot of things have to fall into place for that to happen. But I’m optimistic.”

Hopefully, everything falls into place! The fans really want to see this movie happen! We are getting closer and closer to finally see a proper ending to the story that David Milch started to tell all those years ago. The story focused on the rivalry between Sheriff Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) and the villainous pimp Al Swearengen (Ian McShane).

If you haven't watched the series yet, you should start now!

The HALLOWEEN Reboot Has Started Production and The Full Cast Has Been Announced

Director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride have officially started shooting their Halloween reboot. Above you'll see a cool graphic being used for the production. Judging from what has been said about this movie since it was first announced, it sounds like we actually might get a great sequel to John Carpenter's original 1978 film.

The movie is said to be a sequel to the very first Halloween movie. It will ignore every sequel that has been made and after 40 years, Michael Meyers will return to finish what he started.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who is said to come to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Judy Greer plays Karen Strode, the daughter of Curtis’ character, and Andi Matichak (Orange Is the New Black, Underground) plays Allyson, the granddaughter of Laurie Strode.

Thanks to Bloody-Disgusting we now have a list of other actors that have joined the project. Those actors include Virginia “Ginny” Gardner (Project Almanac, Marvel’s Runaways), Miles Robbins (Mozart in the Jungle, My Friend Dahmer), Dylan Arnold (Mudbound, Laggies, When We Rise), and Drew Scheid (Stranger Things). It was also previously announced that the original who played Michael Meyers, Nick Castle, will return to the role.

Academy Award-winning make-up and VFX artist, Christopher Nelson (Suicide Squad, Deadpool, Sin City, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2) has also joined the production to help bring the bloody mess that Michael Myers leaves behind to the big screen.

Then, of course, there's John Carpenter, who will score, executive produce and serve as a consultant on the film.

Halloween will be released by Universal Pictures on Friday, October 19, 2018.

Grim First Trailer For Hulu’s THE HANDMAID’S TALE Season 2 and Premiere Date Announced

Fresh off of its win for Best Drama at the Golden Globes, Hulu recently announced that The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2 will premiere on April 25th. They also released the first trailer for the upcoming 13-episode second season that you can watch below.

If you haven't watched the first season yet, it's definitely worth checking out. It's a great and intense series that tells a fascinating story. This trailer gives us a little glimpse of what we can expect to see from the new season. One of the things we know that it will focus on is Offred’s (Elisabeth Moss) pregnancy and her continuing fight to help her future child escape the dystopian horrors of Gilead.

When talking about Season 2 with Variety, Moss explained that it's going to be much darker than Season 1, saying:

"So much of the season is about motherhood. It's a bit of a ticking time bomb. And the complications of that are really wonderful to explore... It's a dark season. I would say, arguably, it's darker than season one — if that's possible."

The series is based on the novel by Margaret Atwood and developed as series by producer and writer Bruce Miller. Moss stars in the drama alongside Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle and Amanda Brugel. It was also announced that Marisa Tomei would be making an appearance this season!

Watch the trailer and let us know if you're excited about the second season of The Handmaiden's Tale.

Chris Evans Talks About Captain America’s Beard

One of the things most noticed about the promotional posters and the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is that Steve Rogers has a beard. According to THR, it was mentioned 20,474 times in its first 24 hours of the trailer's release. I’m sure by now that number is a lot higher. Well, Chris Evans was kind enough to sit down and talk to Thirst Aid Kit (the conversation with Evans starts around the 28-minute mark) about the beard. They asked him about his thoughts about the beard in general, his reaction to fans talking about the beard, and how long it takes to grow it. Here’s his response:

Well that’s good. That’s good, because I like it too. I mean, I usually live my life with a beard. I’m not a huge fan of shaving, and it just provides a little bit of anonymity at times. I was really excited that the Russos and Marvel were willing to kinda give that look a shot. I think it’s cool! I think it kind of changes things up. We’ve seen Cap the same way so many times. He’s such a throwback, he’s such a classic. It kind of gives him a little bit of a modern vibe.

It actually grows pretty quick, luckily. I think I can get a pretty full beard in maybe a month, maybe three to four weeks.

I think the beard looks great and given the end of Captain America: Civil War, I think it’s fitting. He basically becomes an outcast at the end of the movie and seems to go into hiding. Many fans are speculating about deeper meanings to the beard, but I don’t think there’s much to it. Do you have a theory about why he has a beard? Do you like his new facial hair?

BLACK WIDOW Screenwriter Meeting with Scarlet Johansson Soon and It’s Rumored to Be a Female Hero Team-Up Film

Last week the big news hit that Marvel was finally moving forward with a Black Widow movie. For years fans have been campaigning for the film to happen and now its time is finally coming. The studio has already hired an up and coming screenwriter named Jac Shaeffer, and according to Variety's Justin Kroll, he will meet with the film's star Scarlett Johansson soon to talk about the direction they want to take the story.

There's also a rumor going around about the movie online that is saying that it's going to be more than just a Black Widow movie. CBM is saying that it's going to be an all-female superhero team film that will feature several other female members of the MCU.

This all started when Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson revealed that she cornered Kevin Feige with several other Marvel actresses and asked him about producing a film that centered around the female superheroes. Feige said "yes" and explained that it could very well happen.

If this is the case, I imagine it will end up being more of a Lady Liberators movie! Lady Liberators is an all-female team in the comics with characters that have included Valkyrie, Wasp, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch.

Of course, these rumors could be false and this might just end up being a Black Widow movie. It seems more likely that it could set the stage for an all-female superhero movie. Regardless of what happens, it will be interesting to see how it turns out!

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 is Coming in 2020

Yesterday James Gunn took to Twitter to answer a bunch of questions from the fans. During this little Q&A, the director was asked the silly question if there was going to be a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It's at this point that he took the opportunity to revel that the movie would be released in 2020.

He didn't exactly say when. But Marvel has already carved out release dates for May 1st, August 7th, and November 6th, so it could end up being one of those dates.

Gunn also pointed out that Disney's recent acquisition of Fox's assets wouldn't change any of his plans for the third film in any way. You won't be seeing any of those characters that Fox owned the rights to in his films because he's not interested in them. He also makes a point of saying that he will not bring Yondu back to life. Here are those other tweets:

At some point, Chris Pratt posted this amusing tweet:

To which Gunn replied:

We don't know much about Vol. 3, but we do know that it be the beginning of a whole new Marvel cosmic cinematic universe and he's got a list of a ton of songs that he wants to use. We can also expect to see Adam Warlock finally make his big screen debut. It's going to be excited to see where the next chapter of this story will lead these fantastic characters.

MAN AT ARMS Lets You Ask a Blacksmith

Man At Arms: Reforged is a show on AWE Me’s YouTube channel where a group of blacksmiths forges weapons from anime, TV, movies, and games. I love watching this show! It’s relaxing in a way, and you can learn a little while they make Ned Stark’s Ice or Future Trunks’ sword. Sadly, they haven’t released any new forging videos in a while, but they have released two videos now in a series, “Ask a Blacksmith.” In this series, Matt sits down with one of the other smiths (Kerry and Ilya so far) and asks them questions from social media. They answer questions about getting into blacksmithing, interests outside the shop, as well as what kind of music they like. I think it’s interesting to learn more about these guys and I am looking forward to more great content from them. Hopefully, we’ll get a new build soon. Also, it sounds like you can still ask them questions with on Twitter by using #ASKABLACKSMITH. What questions do you have for them?

This Robot Is Basically A Roomba Projector But That’s Not A Bad Thing

Have you ever been laying in your room and wishing your projector would just come to you? You probably haven't, because tech like that didn't exist until now, and it's surprisingly less pointless than you think. Essentially Keecker is R2-D2. It can project images for you, roll around the house, and make noises. Beyond that, it can also act as a 360 camera and patrol your house while you're away for home security. Honestly, the more I hear about this robot, the more I don't think its a complete waste of time. Check it out in action below, and tell us if you'd buy a Keecker.

Tyrannosaurus Rex Conducts Colorado Symphony for Jurassic Park Theme

It’s no secret that I love John Williams. He’s incredibly talented, and whenever he gets involved in a project we get so freaking excited. Whether it’s Star Wars, Jaws, or Jurassic Park, his music is legendary. Earlier this year the Colorado Symphony performed the iconic theme from Jurassic Park and what better conductor could there be than a T-Rex? A person donned one of those iconic T-Rex suits that everyone on the Internet seems to have and led the orchestra in a fantastic rendition of the theme song. I don’t know how the orchestra didn’t bust up laughing while performing this beautiful piece. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be a full clip of the instance, but I hope you enjoy this wonderful video. Who’s your favorite conductor?
