Exciting New Trailer For SyFy’s Superman-Inspired Series KRYPTON

If you've been excited about this Superman-inspired series Krypton, I've got a new trailer here for you check out! This thing is packed with new footage and that includes our first look at Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos) as he meets Seg-El and tells him about his grandson. Strange is not seen in costume. He's described as "a world-weary human, who finds himself stranded on Krypton as the unlikely mentor to Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather."

This is the best trailer that I've seen for the Krypton series that I've seen so far and it looks intriguing. I'm curious to see how the story for this show plays out and I hope that it's good!

Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, KRYPTON follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed. With Krypton’s leadership in disarray, Seg-El encounters Earthly time-traveler Adam Strange (Sipos) who warns he’s under the clock to save his beloved world from chaos. Fighting to redeem his family’s honor and protect the ones he loves, Seg is also faced with a life and death conflict – save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson.

The series also stars Georgina Campbell (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) as Lyta Zod, who is part of Krypton’s military caste and daughter of General Alura Zod. There's this whole other plotline where Seg-El and Lyta Zod are in the midst of a secret, forbidden relationship.

The series is set to be released sometime in 2018.

This Interview Shows Why You Never Give Tommy Wiseau A Microphone During A Timed Interview

When James Franco brushed off Tommy Wiseau while accepting his award at The Golden Globes, some thought Franco should've given him a chance to say a few words. Turns out Franco knew what this reporter from THR may have not, Tommy Wiseau never says just a few words. Listen to Wiseau ramble on a bit and talk in circles and let me know if you still wanted to hear what he had to say when he attempted to grab the mic at The Golden Globes:

Mark Hamill Reveals Luke Skywalker and Admiral Holdo Were In a LAST JEDI Deleted Scene

Amilyn_Holdo_Ellen.png

Mark Hamill has been very vocal on social media about his part in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and because of that, we continue to learn more about what happened behind the scenes of Episode VIII. His latest revelation came last night after Hamill sent a congratulatory tweet to his The Last Jedi co-star Laura Dern who won a Golden Globe for her role in HBO's Big Little Lies.

In the tweet, Hamill mentioned that he and Dern's Admiral Holdo shared a deleted scene in The Last Jedi and he hopes that it'll be included on the film's DVD release.

But how is that even possible? If you think your way through the entire film, there is no point where Holdo and Luke could have been together. By the time Luke "meets" with the rebels on Crait, Holdo has already blasted her way through Snoke's ship. Unless there is some sort of flashback I just don't see how its possible.  But then again, Hamill who has trolled fans online before could just be playing with us all.

Fans will have to wait for The Last Jedi DVD release to know for sure.

Stan Lee is Now Being Accused of Sexual Assault and Misconduct

Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee is the latest big celebrity to hit with sexual assault and sexual misconduct claims. Who is accusing him? A string of young female nurses who were once employed by him have complained about walking around naked, demanding oral sex from them, wanting to be pleasured by them, and groping them. A source with knowledge of the situation said:

"Stan is an old man who has seemingly lost his way. He doesn't seem to care what people think of him, he's lost his filter. There has been a stream of young nurses coming to his house in West Hollywood and he has been sexually harassing them. He finds it funny. He walks around naked and is vulgar towards the women, he asks them for oral sex in the shower and wants to be pleasured in his bedroom. He uses the word p***y and f**k in their presence. He's also very handsy and has groped some of the women, it's unacceptable behavior, especially from an icon like Stan."

Lee, who is 95-years-old, has denied these allegations and in a statement by his attorney has said they are "false and despicable allegations". They believe that Lee is the target of extortion. The statement goes on to say, "Mr. Lee will not be extorted or blackmailed, and will pay no money to anyone because he has done absolutely nothing wrong."

It should also be noted that the nursing company who have come out against Lee stopped working for him in late 2016. His current carers from Vitale Nursing Inc. have since come out and said that Lee is "polite, kind and respectful."

With Hollywood currently banishing anyone who is even just mentioned in these kinds of allegations, it will be interesting to see what Marvel will do. If they don't want the bad press there's always the chance that we may never see Stan Lee make another movie cameo again. I assume that the people closest to him that know what he is like and have worked with him closely over the years will confirm or deny this kind of behavior from Lee.

These are certainly serious allegations that I know that fans hope they aren't true. Is this surprising and crazy news to you, or are you not surprised?

Razer’s PROJECT LINDA Shows Microsoft And Samsung How Its Done

Razer_Project_Linda+_Overview.png

Not long ago, Razer released its first smartphone. I genuinely thought that this overpowered phone was a bit overhyped. Mobile gaming is on the rise, but even I didn't think it would rise this quickly. Games like Arena of Valor, Vainglory, Lineage II, and Modern Combat 5 have proven there is a future for mobile gaming. Communities are growing and millions upon millions are joining in. Razer is looking ahead of this curve and have been working on a new project to cater to this growing category. Its called PROJECT LINDA.

Project Linda is a similar experience to Microsoft's Continuum, only better executed. With the HP Elite X3, Windows 10 Mobile users were able to connect their phone to a "laptop dock" for lack of a better term. The dock being a laptop itself. It was a bare bones build. A screen, keyboard, trackpad, and speakers. The phone did all the work processing. When connected, you would get a Windows 10 start screen and a near desktop experience. Accessing Universal Windows Platform (UWP) applications, like Microsoft's Office Suite, created the sense of a real Windows 10 laptop. Samsung also tried this with the Galaxy S8 line and it's DeX Station.

Razer_Project_linda_docked_phone.png

In the case of Project Linda, Razer integrated the phone to be the touchpad itself. The phone is part of the whole device, unlike the Elite X3 and Galaxy S8. The build and aesthetics if near perfect when the phone is locked in place. As I mentioned previously, I felt that the Razer phone was a bit of an overkill for mobile gaming in its current state, but now I see why they spec'd it out so well. When you lock the phone in place, the "laptop dock", will launch Razer's own desktop interface. The experience is extremely smooth! Major kudos for the software engineers that built it. With the phone firmly seated, the display scaling appropriately, and quickness of the OS, its hard to not think it is just a phone and dock.

As of right now, the project is sporting a 1080p display, built in front-facing webcam, RGB keyboard, USB-C charging port, and USB 3.1 port. Mixer's latest update allows mobile users to stream their game live, so the webcam is a nice feature. There are no speakers in the laptop dock because it utilizes the phones front-facing speakers. I believe they plan to include internal storage as well, but as for memory size, it would depend on what consumers want, and what can fit inside. It would be nice to see a 2K display since the phone has one. That might actually be the case if this product makes it to manufacturing. After all, this is just a project.

Razer has had previous projects that didn't get the green light. I do think that Project Linda stands a very good chance, based on how well designed the prototype was made. Definitely feels close to a complete product. I would say that the locking mechanism will probably see some changes. It holds the phone firmly, but is not foolproof. Maybe creating a slot to slide it into place would be a better option, as it would ensure the device has been inserted far enough to get a proper lock before locking it in. The best solution is to create a safeguard that would instruct the user to check the placement before locking the device.

I would have to say, Project Linda is one of my favorite experiences at CES 2018 so far. Very innovative and creative. Razer will have some additional announcements later today, so stay tuned for those. What do you think of Project Linda? Is there anything you would change or keep? Does this make you consider the Razer phone more than before?

The Plot Thickens in Trailer and Poster For THE TICK Season 1 Part 2

the-plot-thickens-in-trailer-and-poster-for-the-tick-season-1-part-21

The second part of Amazon's first season of The Tick will air next month and today we have a trailer and poster for you to check out! The trailer gives us our first real look at what awaits the big blue hero and his loyal sidekick in the upcoming six all-new episodes.

This Tick series has been a hilariously entertaining series and I've enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The casting is perfect, I love how the characters are portrayed, and the visual tone is great! If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to do yourself a favor and check it out.

In a workaday world where superheroes fly among us, mild-mannered accountant Arthur Everest (Griffin Newman) suspects The City is controlled by a fabled villain known as The Terror (Jackie Earle Haley), despite evidence of The Terror’s death 15 years ago. Arthur has a traumatic connection with The Terror, whose movements he has obsessively tracked since childhood. Arthur’s sister, Dot (Valorie Curry), is a paramedic who dotes on her brother but also provides a sibling’s tough love. The more he talks about super-villain super-conspiracies, the more she warns him to “keep it real.”
Fate soon brings Arthur together with a tall, verbally adroit muscleman with superpowers and a mysterious past: The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz). As they investigate the mystery surrounding The Terror, they draw attention from the electrifying enigma known as Miss Lint and a hyper-violent vigilante named Overkill, confronting the complexity of the struggle between good and evil. The Tick, bursting with relentlessly original storylines and quotable dialogue, shows what a blast crusading for truth and justice can be. Our culture is now awash with self-serious mythologies and grimly determined, interchangeable characters filling not just franchises but entire universes. The time has come for The Tick.

The Tick will return to Amazon Prime on Friday, February 23, 2018.

STRANGER THINGS Star Millie Bobby Brown To Play Sherlock Holmes’ Sister in New Film Series

Legendary Entertainment has just cast Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown in a new film series based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series by Nancy Springer. She will play Enola Holmes who is the much younger 14-year-old sister of Sherlock Holmes.

The book series launched in 2006 with the "The Case of the Missing Marquess" and it was followed by five other novels, that revolved around mysteries investigated by Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola. This is the story description for the first novel:

When Enola Holmes, sister to the detective Sherlock Holmes, discovers her mother has disappeared, she quickly embarks on a journey to London in search of her. But nothing can prepare her for what awaits. Because when she arrives, she finds herself involved in the kidnapping of a young marquess, fleeing murderous villains, and trying to elude her shrewd older brothers—all while attempting to piece together clues to her mother’s strange disappearance. Amid all the mayhem, will Enola be able to decode the necessary clues and find her mother?

This sounds like it could be a great film series and it's a perfect project for Millie Bobby Brown to take on. She's going to be awesome in it! It's also the kind of story that my kids would love to watch. I'll have to introduce them to the book series.

BLACK PANTHER Director Ryan Coogler Talks About JAMES BOND Influences and What Makes The Film Unique

Last night we got another great trailer for Black Panther to get the fans even more pumped up for the film. Today, Fandango posted an interview with director Ryan Coogler in which he talks about several different aspects of the film. A couple of highlights include how he was influenced by James Bond and other films, and he also discusses how the movie would be unique, different, and avoid superhero movie fatigue.

When talking about the films that influenced him while he was making Black Panther, Ryan Coogler said:

"Yeah, definitely with James Bond. I think similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we're definitely influenced by the films of the '70s and influenced by crime fiction.
"For me, I try to pull from a wide variety of films. I love watching movies, man. I’ve been a fan of watching movies way before I even knew I would ever make them. I’m definitely from the school of studying films. My favorite film is a film called A Prophet, a French film that was released almost a decade ago now, which seems a bit crazy. Any time I’m making a movie, I’m always leaning on inspiration from that one.
"A Prophet deals with secret societies and cultural ties, so that was a big influence [on Black Panther]. I also watched a lot of Coppola’s work from the ’70s. We were looking at all of that stuff and also watched a lot of the James Bond films, but not the new ones. I wanted to watch the ones that were made in the ’60s and ’70s. I watched Goldfinger for the first time, and I just thought it was really interesting in terms of how James Bond was handy."

Those are some fantastic movies to be influenced by. It will be interesting and fun to see how certain elements for those films end up fitting into Black Panther. One thing is for sure, Black Panther looks incredibly different than any other Marvel film that has come before, and that's exciting! When talking about what makes the film different and unique, the director said:

"I think it's got a lot of elements, man. I think it's a bit of an espionage thriller. I think it's a little bit of a family drama. It involves T'Challa working with his family, so I think there's a family-drawn element to it. He works with his sister, he works with his mother. He's dealing with the loss of his father, so similar to any film that deals with royalty, you have a family element and you have a political side, too. It works as a political drama as well.
"There have been a lot of superhero movies made. As a comic book and superhero film fan myself, I feel like we’ve seen a lot at this point. I think that the cultural element of [Black Panther] — and how cultural specificity takes such a big role in the film – that’s what makes it quite unique. I’m excited to see more [superhero movies], but there hasn’t really been a film about a character like T’Challa before. Hopefully we can pull it off, but it has the potential to be something that’s really unique in a lot of different ways. I think that you can’t ignore the idea of representation and also the excitement around Marvel Studios and the work that they’ve been able to pull off when telling original and unique stories. I think that folks are excited to see what the studio is able to cook up."

I know there's a lot of talk about superhero movie fatigue, but that hasn't hit me yet! This movie certainly doesn't look like it's going to bring it on. Coogler goes on to talk about the story a little and confirms that it's set right after the events of Civil War:

"Well, the film will take place basically immediately after Civil War. In many ways, he's the same guy. What I think is more important, and I was talking to my brother Keenan about it, who works with me, you get to see T'Challa at almost from a ground level. You get to see him and how he is around the people who he loves, how he is when he's comfortable.
"In Civil War, he was outside of Wakanda. He was in a place that he didn't want to be and his father gets killed. The whole film, he's on a mission. He's a man on a mission. He's tortured; he's of few words. I think that that was something that made him appealing in that film. In this film, it's the same guy, but you're seeing all of the layers pulled back. The film's from his perspective and he's surrounded by people who he loves and cares for. It's just a much more personal perspective on him. You see him go through the journey of taking on the greatest responsibility that a person can have, the responsibility of leading a country. You see him go through the full weight of that in the film."

And just in case you were wondering, yes.. you're going to want to wait around after the movie ends to watch a post-credits scene or two.

Black Panther stars Chadwick BosemanMichael B. JordanLupita Nyong’oDanai GuriraMartin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela BassettForest Whitaker and, returning from Avengers: Age of UltronAndy Serkis.

It will be released in theaters on February 16th, 2018 and I can't wait! Are you all excited!?

The HTC Vive Pro Revealed At CES 2018

HTC just unveiled a new and upgraded VR headset at CES 2018 today. The new headset, which is called the Vive Pro, is a refresh of the original Vive that was released almost two years ago. The launch of the Vive Pro is meant to improve past shortcomings of its predecessor, most especially the screen resolution.

The HTC Vive Pro sports a dual OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1600 (1400 x 1600 per eye, and 615 ppi). The improved resolution of the HTC Vive Pro, will increase the overall pixel density and will make text and graphics more crisper and smoother than before. Check out the images of the Vive Pro below:

The Vive Pro also redesigned the head strap, making it more ergonomic and easy to adjust with a blue color design of the key elements and the front display.
