Watch Clips From THE ROOM And THE DISASTER ARTIST Side By Side

If you're looking to see just how well The Disaster Artist imitated The Room in its film, here's your answer. Outside of the "I did not hit her scene," I think they did a pretty damn good job, although I might argue the scene they flubbed a bit is arguably the best scene in the entire film. That said, perhaps James Franco intentionally goofed his imitation a little bit so people would go back to the original and witness just how bad the scene was for themselves.

Check out the scenes side by side below, and let us know how you think they did.

First Photo of Jon Hamm as The Archangel Gabriel in Neil Gaiman’s GOOD OMENS

Amazon Studios has revealed the first photo of Jon Hamm in the role of the Archangel Gabriel in their new original series Good Omens, which is based on the book by Neil Gaiman. As you can see, he's looking pretty sharp! When talking about taking on the role, Hamm said:

“I read ‘Good Omens’ almost twenty years ago. I thought it was one of the funniest, coolest books I’d ever read. It was also, obviously, unfilmable. Two months ago Neil sent me the scripts, and I knew I had to be in it.”

Neil Gaiman added:

“Gabriel is everything that Aziraphale isn’t: he’s tall, good-looking, charismatic and impeccably dressed. We were fortunate that Jon Hamm was available, given that he is already all of these things without even having to act. We were even more fortunate that he’s a fan of the books and a remarkable actor.”

We also have a statement from the costume designer talking about Gabriel's look:

“Gabriel is the leader of the angels, and the most stylish and impeccably dressed of all of them, so we chose an immaculately tailored suit that Jon Hamm wears to perfection, in light colours, along with lilac accessories to bring out Gabriel’s unnerving violet eyes.”

I love the look of the character and I'm excited about this series. The series also stars Michael Sheen as the angel Aziraphale and David Tennant as the demon Crowley. You can check out the first look at these characters here.

Good Omens tells the story of a Demon and an Angel right before the end of the world who don't want it to happen yet. Michael Sheen is taking on the role of the angel Aziraphale and David Tennant is playing the demon, Crowley in the six-part series which has already started filming. You can check out the first look at these characters here.

The six-part series adaptation if being produced by BBC and it will be released in 2019,

Adam Savage Shows us How Painstaking Of A Process It Is To Create a Mask For Chewbacca

The more videos that get released, the greater appreciation I have towards all the work that goes into creating the Star Wars franchise. Today we're going to learn just how difficult it is to make Chewbacca's mask and let me tell ya,  it's a process. It's also a 23-minute video, but Adam Savage really keeps it engaging as we get a look behind the curtain in what all goes into making a Wookiee mask. Check it out below!

A full trailer has been released for the upcoming dark comedy murder thriller Thoroughbreds. In it, Anya Taylor-Joy and Olivia Cooke play a couple of psychopathic teens who embark on a journey to murder their stepfather. They end up enlisting the late Anton Yelchin to help them accomplish the dark deed. I'm always up for a twisted murderous tale and this movie looks like it will be a solidly made flick. The Showrunner of Classic 90s X-MEN Animated Series Teases Idea for Season 6

X-Men: The Animated Series was a staple of my Saturday morning cartoons ritual when I was a kid. It was so fantastic from the characters (especially Gambit) to the music to the crossover with Spider-Man (yeah, that was awesome). It’s fun to go back and re-watch some of those old episodes to enjoy the story as well as to point out how 1990’s that show was. The show ran for 5 seasons, 76 episodes, and left fans wanting more. This desire for more was especially felt since there didn’t seem to be a conclusive end to the series. Enter Eric Lewald.

Lewald was the showrunner for X-Men and he recently wrote a behind the scenes book called Previously on X-Men: The Making of an Animated Series, and while promoting his book sat down with SYFY WIRE to talk about the series. Of course, this non-conclusive ending came up and Lewald was asked about “what he’d do with one more arc.” His answer was given on the spot:

I had honestly never thought about it for all these years, but now that you mention it, an idea for a season just came to me: The five-season series ends with a dying Charles Xavier being whisked away to space by Lilandra, where she can maintain his fragile body, but where it seems he will be gone forever from his beloved X-Men. It’s like a death,” he said, recapping the wrap of his iconic series before getting to the meat of the matter.

”Season Six could open, months later, with the X-Men in disarray – a few gone, the ones remaining at each other’s throats,” Lewald suggested. “They miss their leader. Then somehow they are called to – and transported to – an existential crisis on Lilandra’s distant world. The team grudgingly reunites ‘for Charles,’ heads off to space, solves the crisis, and a somehow-healed Charles Xavier is either able to return to Earth with them or, if he can’t, his heroic final sacrifice heals the team’s wounds and they return to Earth as the proper X-Men again.

That sounds like an amazing story to tell, and a great way to give proper closure to the series. To further tease fans Lewald said, “If you’ve got some financing, I know where to find the cast and crew.” So, when can we get this funded on Kickstarter or Indiegogo? Would you love this final story arc to become reality? Which was your favorite X-Man (or X-Woman)?

David S. Goyer is in Talks To Direct MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

David S. Goyer is in Talks To Direct MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE-social.jpg

Masters of the One film project that I've been looking forward to seeing one day. It's been in and out of development for years and I've been hoping to see a great director attached to it. The last director who was developing it was McG, but thankfully that fell apart. Now, according to The Wrap, David S. Goyer is in talks to direct it.

I have mixed feeling about the possibility of Goyer taking on the project. He's written some great films like Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and Dark City. But then he's also written some turds like Jumper and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. As far as his directing resume goes, he directed Blade: Trinity, The Unborn, and The Invisible, which I think were all pretty mediocre films.

Now, Goyer has written the most recent draft of the script for the film, which is fine. But, I don't think he's got what it takes to direct an epic and great Masters of the Universe movie. If he ends up directing, I won't be expecting much. It will just end up being another mediocre attempt and I think Sony Pictures could and should do better than mediocre.

There's always the possibility that he will surprise me, but he just doesn't have a great track record when it comes to the films he's directed.

I've been a huge fan of He-Man ever since I was a kid and this franchise has the potential to be as epic as The Lord of the Rings if it was done right. It deserves an amazingly epic adaptation and if it's anything less, there's no point in making the attempt.

Sony has set Masters of the Universe to be released on December 18, 2019. Do you think Goyer is a good choice? Who would you like to see made the movie?
