John Williams has composed the music for all eight main Star Wars films and it looks like he’s going to help out with Solo: A Star Wars Story. John Powell will compose the vast majority of the score and I’m sure that it will be fantastic. He did, after all, compose the scores for the How to Train Your Dragon films as well as the Bourne movies. However, to have Williams write the main theme for Han Solo is just phenomenal. I love his work and think he’s a fantastic composer. The information comes from an interview with Variety where Williams says:
The fact that Williams is anxious to hear Powell's work just adds to my excitement for this score. Are you excited for Solo? What about the score? With Williams involved, it's hard not to be excited about that.
Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’m pretty good at sculpting in that game Cranium. Everyone’s able to guess what it is. I should quit my job and go into sculpting?” After watching this video, you may reconsider that idea of you already being an amazing sculptor. Steven Richter creates this amazing Hulk bust based off of Thor: Ragnarok. Don’t despair though. If you love sculpting, don’t let this bring you down. Richter has years of practice and works for Tom Spina Designs which is a company that restores film props and models. This is his job. He just happens to also work at home and give us awesome art on the side. If you like sculpting, I hope you are able to use this as inspiration. If you don’t like sculpting, I hope you’re able to watch this video in complete awe as I did. What’s your best sculpture been?
The New Mutants looks to be a pretty interesting movie. The director, Josh Boone, has decided to make a horror film inside the X-Men universe instead of a superhero movie. That being said, our five heroes will have a lot to deal with in this movie, but according to this image from USA Today, Blu Hunt’s Mirage is in trouble. We see the other characters around her and it looks like at least most are trying to help the seemingly unconscious Mirage not get caught by the horrors that are after them.
I’m excited to see the movie. Boone also told USA Today a bit more about the characters, saying:
If you haven’t seen the trailer for this movie, what are you waiting for? This looks really promising. It’s got some amazing talent including Maisie Williams and Charlie Heaton and I’m sure it has a good chance of being solid. Logan was a little different from a superhero movie and it paid off big time. Let’s see if The New Mutants can navigate these tricky waters just as well.
The New Mutants is slated for release on April 13, 2018.
If you've played Mortal Kombat at all throughout the years, you've definitely heard Steve Ritchie's voice. So, is the voice behind one of the darkest games in history an evil dude? It certainly doesn't appear that way, unless he's loading those pinball machines he builds with explosives or something. Given the fact there haven't been a ton of pinball-related deaths in 2017, it seems like Steve Ritchie was just a normal dude who got to be a part of something huge. Learn more about his story below:
The films portray Captain America as a guy who's light on his feet and able to do some incredible things with a shield in his hand, but can he actually do a lot of the stuff we see in real life? While this YouTube athlete wasn't able to do everything Steve Rodgers would do in films or comics, he managed to do quite a bit! Take that, and the fact that he doesn't have enhanced strength and a Vibranium shield which is probably a bit more aerodynamic, and I'd say it's feasible Cap can pull these types of moves off. What do you think?
Christmas is over, and while that may be a sad thing, it's time to move on and acknowledge that life goes on following the holidays. If you're having a harder time letting go than most, take a listen to this version of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas," made exclusively with Owen Wilson saying "Wow."
If this doesn't kill your holiday spirit until next year, I'm not sure what will.
I really like Hotel Transylvania. The story is sweet and the jokes are great. Also, the character design is fantastic. Ryoko-demon has brought Dracula’s daughter, Mavis, to life (or is it unlife?) with one of her recent cosplay sets. Now, Mavis is not a complex looking character, but this looks like Mavis was dragged out of the movie and into real life. I think my favorite part is the Scream Cheese prop. It just helps the cosplay pop and it’s always nice to see great props in these shots. They help make a great cosplay into a phenomenal cosplay.
We’ve featured Prince Armory before with their amazingly terrifying Darth Vader armor. Well now, we can show you their take on Batman’s most famous enemy: Joker! Next year we’ll see the Joker in medieval Japan in Batman Ninja, but what would his armor look like in medieval Europe? Probably something akin to what Prince Armory has done. This suit of armor is fantastic and fits the Joker so well. The mask and the pauldrons (or maybe they’re spaulders?) really are the best parts though in my opinion. The details are incredible and bring the armor to life even though no one is wearing it. If you’re interested in a custom suit of armor you can contact them, but be warned these are not cheap by any means and will cost a pretty penny. What character do you want to see be turned into medieval armor?
Out of the 132 unique lightsabers in the Star Wars universe, blue and red are the most popular colors. That's not all that surprising considering that seems how popular those colors are in real life, but how prevalent are other colors? Luckily, this handy chart (via Geekologie) breaks things down quite nicely. I'm assuming the Other section are instances in which there are only a single color of that lightsaber, but I'm not for sure on that. If you had a lightsaber, which color would you choose? Me personally, I think I'd go silver.
I grew up watching Sailor Moon and I loved it. That’s why I’m a little jealous of the Japanese since Universal Studios Japan will be having a new Sailor Moon attraction entitled Sailor Moon: The Miracle 4D. Sounds like it will be one of those fun 4D experiences that theme parks run and while details are locked up tight, Universal has said this will be a brand new story and will have audiences join Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts to defeat a new evil. If you’re one of the lucky ones able to go to the park between March 16 and June 24 of 2018, you’ll be able to find Sailor Moon themed food at the Beverly Hills Boulangerie station and at the Wonder Pix station you will be able to get your picture taken with the original five Sailor Scouts. What fun, 4D attractions have you been able to enjoy?
